CRLEAP, your incorrect. Let me correct what the IC7 Lineup really is taken right off of the ABIT-USA site:
IC7: Entry level 875 Mobo with excellent OCing ability and PAT technology. No NIC and only 2 Native SATA channels Only 2.8Vdimm Max. A great quality board for a great price of around $125, if you can get past the fact their is no NIC.
IC7-G: Same as IC7, but with Intel Gigabit CSA LAN dedicated NIC (so it doesn't take away bandwidth from the PCI bus). Two extra SATA connections running through the PCI bus, for a total of 4 SATA devices. NO Secure IDE on this model! 1 IDE>SATA Adapter. Only 2.8Vdimm Max.
IC7-MAX3: Same as IC7-G but with 4 SATA connections through the PCI Bus for a total of 6 SATA devices. 1 IDE>SATA Adapter. OTES cooling for Mofsets. Secure IDE Module for Hard Drive. NO Serial connections for Modem or Printer on rear panel to make room for the OTES cooling fan. Higher Vdimm capability of 3.2V.
Hope this helps. If I were buying now, I might just go for the MAX 3, IF I knew for certain that the board is Prescott compatible, and still not sure about this one. My IC7 is still rock stable, and I am running my Kingston HyperX PC3500 512MB X2 @ 2-2-2-5 with a Vdimm of 2.8V and all GAT settings to Auto. Can't complain too much..........
