I am looking at this memory, but it is rated at CAS 2 6-3-3 1T. Now granted I'm a little dumb about CAS timings, etc., but isn't the Mushkin at 2-2-2 better?

Well you can get 2x512MB of Mushkin PC3200 for $270. Don't know how much PC3500 is. I'll probably get the Geil I think.Originally posted by: snidy1

People on the Abit forums have had some trouble with the Kingston HyperX on this board.

I am putting together a gaming rig, and will most likely be doing a bit of OCing. The CPU will be a P4 3.0G Cant., but for MoBo I am thinking 1) Abit IC7-G, 2) Asus P4C800, or 3) MSI 875P.
For RAM I'll buy either 1) Corsair TwinX1024-3200LL '2*512Mb', or 2) OCZ EL-DDR PC3500 '2*512Mb'. The video will be a Hercules Prophet ATi 9800 Pro, and for HDs I'll use 2 Seagate Barracudas 120G SATAs in Raid0. Finally the cooling will be the 1) Asetek Waterchill, or 2) a ThermalRight SLK-900.

Does 2x512 Kingston Hyper-X DDR433 work with this board even if its not Dual channel certified ?
There are some manufacturers that say "dual-channel ready" or "certified", but I don't think it means anything. It's like saying a 10/100 card is "Internet ready". But who knows.Originally posted by: NFS4

I didn't know that there was a such thing as "Dual-Channel Certified" RAM. In any case, I'm running two sticks of HyperX 433 with no problems in my IC7

On another note, when did you order your Kingston? I ordered the same stuff, but it looks like it was out of stock, and I don't know when I'll be getting it.
