sorry i was wrong, the max out FSB is currently 500mhz with 1,000mhz Memory, and the processor speeds are well- woa-damn, Higher than what AMDs got to offer for a while., which I might add that memory is already being manufactured by samsung ( just heard of them shipping out DDR-II PC desktop memory) might be worth checking out

Oh---well i am just a junior member (HE HE- the little man LOL). I am 17 years old and own my own buisness- All Computer Pros. But that dosen't reflect the DDR-II statement. I only heard about samsung producing and shipping it. Then again, it might have only been for the Graphics Card manufacturers of the Geforce FX. Oh well- and hey, what about my problem 2 posts back? can anyone help me out or give me advice?

Thanks
Ryan

Hey, heres a question- Does anybody have any old Athlon CPUS that are higher than my Athlon 1.2Ghz? If so, let me know- I would like to get a faster cpu, I'll pay for shipping.

Thanks,
Ryan

P.S> and if I where to want to Overclock my Athlon 1.2Ghz x 200mhz bus to 1.4Ghz x 400mhz bus, what would i need to do to make it run stable? I only have DDR266 ram and I know that will put a large limit on me. The last time I ever overclocked a system was with my old AMD K6-III+ 450mhz x 100mhz @ 600mhz x 100mhz. But that overclock was not nearly that complicated using a Diamond/Micronics C-200 Motherboard with a Modified Extra-Large Heatsink and 3x 7200rpm Evercool CPU fans!

Yes you can use those drives in a raid config, but you wont want to with the nf7-s sata raid controller.

My system keeps crashing, it's really staring to piss me off. I have the NF7-s v1.1 and everytime I play my game Hitman 2, It will crash saying the error is coming from "nvmcp.sys"- anybody have any Idea how to fix this? Also, I set up the IRQ assignment for the video card to be on IRQ 11 by itself in the bios, but yet the damn thing keeps on making the video card sharing the IRQ with other devices! No matter
what IRQ I set it too! My bios version is 1.6. Complaint Complaint Complaint. Bicker Bicker Bicker. Bla Bla Bla. Another thing is my hard drive does not always boot with the Serial-o attachment, I have to usually tinker and move it around to get it to, Otherwise from all of that, The system and board runs fine. So can anyone help!! Cheack back to my original post on this page, my config is listed there. I am thinking this Motherboard needs more than 300w of power to even run properly, how about ya'll?So can anyone help!!

... what can i use to measure the vdd voltage? program wise i mean..

also...

how accurate is the temperature that the hardware doc measures or is there a better program to use?

thanks!

edit: i think this board reads the temps a lil high...

does this board also undervolt? seems like it...

shim, is there any difference between the Rev 2.0 and Rev 1.2?
the abit usually reads temps higher
my board overvolts the mem by 0.07v but undervolts the CPU by 0.025v

I think I want to get this board myself. Where are you guys getting the v2.0 board? Does it have the elusive 100FSB Jumper?

how come?

Everyone i've talked to about using a raid config with sata on the nf7-s or any other nforce 2 board for that matter has had problems with data corruption. I've tried the sata raid with two different arrays with 4 different hard drives. All have encountered data corruption. Right now i've got just one drive on sata with no problems.
abit's forum
Its a known problem that abit reconizes and is trying to fix. Read the first topic under nforce motherboards.

hope this helps.

220ish is about normal for the volt moded MB's.
(unless u have extrreme cooling on the NB)
readup at the Abit forums... 220 is good

You should b happy with that ...

200 is for non-volt-moded

board i bought was tested to do 235 fsb. so far this hasnt held past 223 fsb and that was with prime going for 6 hrs. not sure if 3dmark was stable as i only ran that once.

225 fsb i was able to run 3dmark once and tried prime . prime ran for 45 minutes then crashed. tried higher voltage on memory that only made things worse

My 2.0 does 220 and it looks like a limit. I did not do a vdd mod. However this speed was only achieved after cutting L12 bridge on Barton CPU. Before the cut 170MHz!!! was a maximum XP bootable speed (This has something to do with 333MHz bus of the CPU).

... anyone buying tested and shipped as "will run at or as ... " parts is in for dissapointment...

I remember I bought a CPU 'guaranteed' to run at a specific OC... Man was I stupid...

I even sent it back ... and the guy on the phone "said" ... I got it in a system right now ... blah blah blah ... and it running prime ...

(he sent the same chip back)

How in the hell are you really going to know ?

There are lots of factors involved in OC'ing. Parts will never act exactly as they do in another machine.

All I was saying is 220 is the norm on the volt modded MB's ,,, look for yourself at Nforce.com forums ,,, or at Abit forums...
