Can someone explain the "Likes Received" thing to me? I see people with thousands of messages and only a few hundred likes, then there are people like me with nearly equal counts... does the counter reset for one and not the other? Or were all the "Likes" reset at some point and everyone started over?

I would really LIKE to tell you what LIKE is all about, but you posted this in the wrong thread, so nobody will LIKE that.

With only a few hours left before the NDA expires, and apparently, AT will actually have some kind of a review, where will people go for their first reviews?

With all the MIA reviews AT has lost this past year, it really doesn't seem that this is the place to get current reviews anymore, except for phones.

That's a silly question. We're all going to read all the reviews we find until we have the CPU in our hands and our rigs setup. Then we'll brag about what we have - and continue reading about what we have until we tire in a few weeks' time - just in time for AMD to give us a shot in the arm with new Ryzen CPUs. This will continue indefinitely.

Everywhere. I'll use the search terms "ryzen" and "review" within the "past hour" after the 10AM (EST) embargo ends, on Google and Youtube.

I may hit PC Perspective first if it's published immediately.

Yeah, I watched the podcast stream live, figure they will be on top of putting up the cut off section immediately (assuming no technical difficulties). I'll be watching that as soon as it's up for sure.

Hmm... so, back on Ryzen, it seems Amazon may not actually have enough stock to cover pre-orders.

That would be very disappointing. According to a user on reddit (ddak88) people who called Amazon support are saying that Amazon told them availability isn't until mid-April.

I feel it might just be how their inventory system is working (showing a far-out date when no solid date is entered), but I can't but help to be concerned.

UPDATE:

This is confirmed. I spoke to Amazon and they had ZERO stock. I was one of the first orders for the 1800X as well as the Asus Crosshair VI Hero. I've canceled both orders.

I've now ordered a 1700X from NewEgg (in stock!) and the motherboard from B&H Photo Video - pre-order, but no tax and still free shipping.

I've seen that the Asus should be restocked around March 9... I'm hoping it will be sooner than that.

In the UK, no one I've contacted has stock and no ETA of new stock.

I saw some of the slides under NDA (there is a pdf with all of them floating around) and one caught my attention: the L3 clock is the clock of the fastest core. Not the NB anymore. This can hinder the maximum overclock, but explains the very good L3 performance.

Yeah, that'd certainly limit the overclocking potential. I wonder if there will be some way to decouple that.

You're right, I can't find it either, but that is the only pdf of slides that I know of. I don't know what pdf bjt2 was referring to now, but hopefully he can fill us in.
