That Taylor Hicks guy is atrocious. How the hell did he win last year? Hearing Ruben for the first time, I can see he's a very good singer but Taylor was so pitchy.

As for Jordin winning, well, once Melinda was eliminated, it was obvious to me that her fans (those who like singing over gimmicks) would rally behind Jordin rather than Blake. Still, Jordin showed tonight that she has no power when singing lower notes. She needs a vocal coach to help remedy this.

Bette is so sexy still. Kelly does not look good with a mullet. She isn't fat but she's got a major case of thunder booty going on. Maybe she's emulating Jennifer Lopez. Carrie has very pretty eyes.

The group songs showed that the twelve finalists can sound nice in a group. I also think Hailey and Sanjaya could make a living in this business. It was good to hear Stephanie again. Excellent singer.

Melinda proved tonight that she still has the best voice of the bunch...but unfortunately, not the good looks to go with it. I expect she'll still do well with a career in singing however, and IMO, Blake should have gone home last week, and the finale should have been Melinda and Jordin...but, VFTW still must have been working...
Kind of funny to see some of the total losers get awards for being the worst...like the big black woman dressed in yellow...plus, the fat kid and the "bush baby"...

Eh, kinda a blasé season. Jordin Sparks is like so many other singers. She's not a standout at all despite having some good pipes.

I see bigger things for Blake.

Daughtry proves it does not matter who wins. Came in fourth place and is mopping Taylor Hicks' ass in album sales.

Everyone in the top five is pretty much set for life, be it a solo carrier or Broadway, etc.
