Two really bad performances stick out in my mind so far.

I don't know if it's nerves or what, but nobody really jumped out as being awesome. Just a lot of the following items:

1. Sob stories
2. Stare longingly into the camera while singing a ballad in an attempt to "connect" with the audience
3. Kareokee / Cruise ship performances
4. Coffee house performances
5. Horrible performances
6. People trying to sound like the weird girl from last year...Megan Joy or something

This season is really starting out with a big suck factor.

first time watching this week, wow they all collectively sucked just on the intro song. surprised they reneged and kept lynch in it though.

Alright... the Jim Morrison guy is gone. Of all the guys he actually SHOWED A LITTLE personality. Sheesh.

I'm kind of surprised the 70s guy got kicked off. I thought people would like him and vote for him. I actually looked forward to his stuff. Also kind of pissed about losing Janell. She was nice to look at and seemed like a genuine kind person. I think some of them will start to ramp up their performances though as they get more comfortable and get more coaching.

Wow... the four that were eliminated last night did not deserve to go home at all.

several girls are watchable, Boxershorts is memorable.

boys show was painful to watch, except for Bob Seeger.

hell yeah...she was definitely easy on the eyes, and I was hoping that this alone would get her to at least the next round. Same too with Ashley.

Too bad they cut all the hot women in the first round. Not much reason now to watch except maybe to see what Andrew Garcia can do. (I admit, I had his version of "Straight up" playing in my head for a few days after he sang it in Hollywood)

He's just gone downhill.

All the judges hit the nail on the head last night with him. He came out so strong with his Straight Up cover that everyone's looking for that to happen again and to top it but nothing he's done is even close, so far.

Why do the guys all pick such BORING songs?? They made Tim Urban look good.

guys suck for the most part.

Andrew guy needs to stop disappointing....but I still think it's between him and Crystal for talent, but that curly-haired blonde chick will probably go far b/c of looks and personality.

Ya, there is just something missing from a lot of them. I guess we should give them a break b/c it's only their 2nd show. They still need to figure stuff out.

Like Casey had a great opportunity, fun song, great guitarist, but just seemed nervous or flat.

Todrick is just one of those guys that's basically a chameleon in a bad way. He doesn't have his own style, he just does what he thinks the judges want.

That Jermaine dude is straight up annoying, but isn't a bad singer at all.

Lee has a VERY current sound to his voice, like a Nickleback, Daughtry type voice and could be good if he gets himself together.

The judges are such downers... it's really getting to be annoying. First they tell them, "make the song your own, show some confidence, move around" and then when the guy does that they come back with, "you changed the song up too much, your dancing overtook your singing, etc... etc...
Talk about mixed messages and the SAME COMMENTS from all of them all of the time.

At least Paula wasn't a Debbie Downer all the time. She could find something good to say.

OK. Just started watching AI again tonight after the olympic pause. First lady was good. Raw talent inded.

That guy was shit, he was a fake and not the real thing. Didn't you seem him at the original audition and his story about how he fell off a tree or some shit? Thank God he got voted off, and I can't wait for Park to get voted off also...

This season is weird. It's like they made it, they're in Hollywood and now none of them can shine and own it, so far.

There were so many performances last night that were just so dull. Andrew Garcia has been really disappointing since this Paula cover, I mean on a technical level he's good but the song choices for so many of them is just lacking.

Tonight so far that first lady that went had a good voice, we'll see how the rest do...
