Official American Idol Season 9 thread.

Chris was in the bottom 3 many times last year...and he won. I don't get it.

Kris Allen was never in the bottom 3 many times. He was only in the bottom three once and I would qualify that as well. On top 5 night, he was in the bottom 3 but AI had never done a bottom 3 on top 5 night previously (I mean you can just as easily say Kris was in the top 3 that night).

This season has been so lackluster as the producers are trying so hard to get a female winner. Sucks for them that there are now 6 guys and 3 girls left. Crystal will probably win but who cares ... that is why I am rooting for Tim to go as far as he can and stick it to the show.

The rest of them all had their moments. Some of them are starting to show genuine star quality. You really can see the growth each week... except for Aaron.
I would say Tim too, but he did alright with "All My Loving". He's no American Idol, but rather a corny tweenage pop singer, which has worked for others.

Don't like Beatles week because they always go for the same songs. Was surprised the Sawyer guy did the John Lennon song though. No standout performances IMO.

I thought Casey was great. He seems to have improved the most over the recent weeks. Also dug Katie. Hope Aaron is kicked out, finally. He was dreadful.

Siobahn was much better than previous week, but not spectacular. Her voice is just too nasal for me. that last (subdued) note sounded like someone else, though. quite nice.
Tim wasn't awful this week. Not great, but decent. He does have a voice, I guess, but he just doesn't seem to be competing--he's too mimicky.

This show has sucked all season, regardless of Tim being repeatedly saved by VFTW. The talent level is absurdly low.

If I had known it was mini beatles night might have watched the singing portion. The "pro" performances all pretty much sucked. First guy needs some serious practice singing while moving around stage, the little shit is still the little shit, and unless booty girl started to strip down so you could compare with her previously released photos there wasn't much to be done to save that performance.

At least it was a good use of the save this time.

I haven't seen most of Tim's performances, but to be honest I liked his beatles song. I thought he did a great job singing it and found it oddly refreshing. The one I liked the most tho was Crystal's 'Come Together.'

Tim's performance of "All My Loving" was one of the better ones for that night. I also liked Katie Stevens' performance.

Mike got himself saved. Ridiculous he would get booted before Aaron, Tim, or Andy.
Now next week two go. Aaron/Tim need to go or Andy with either of them. Tim is really using his hair, smile, looks, to win over the tweens who don't realize or care that the guy can't sing.

the voting this week was horrible. I didn't like Michael's at first, then listened back to it after the show--better if you're not watching (just listening to the vocals), but still nothing special, imo.

I could have seen him leaving or not being saved...but I understand it with people like Tim and Aaron still tooling around.

I'm still annoyed that Didi is gone.
