Like I said, it probably totally wasn't on his mind. He wasn't here when it happened, it's not on his immediate mind like it is for me (I dismissed the storm because we never get tornadoes around here) and we ended up hitting S. I understand completely what you're saying, but he's a 16-year-old selfish kid (just like every other 16 year old out there ). Garner wasn't hit at all by the tornadoes and it probably just wasn't on his mind (without prior coaching).

I'm home right now. Currently in Durham, which didn't see tornadoes. I slept through the storm.

only went into roughed-up parts of Raleigh a few days ago--my buddy lives near Oakwood--and I still wouldn't have considered it.

James... James... James... is the next American Idol. He was the highlight of last's night show for sure, and being I'm a rocker too, he's always been my favorite. He's even more of a favorite after that performance. Wow. Guy really seems trailer trashy... sorry... I notice his bad teeth, gingivitis, but we can fix that baby. He also pretty clearly had a gut that showed when he wore all white while singing the duet with crybaby gospel singer who has to go last night. He will get that all worked out after he becomes a star, and good on him. He deserves it.

I guess Casey was too quirky for America. But, he's made a name for himself. He'll get work.

pretty disappointed that Casey got eliminated. I thought the song he sang was perfect for him, but I guess America finally ended up caring more about the type of song chosen over how the song was sung.

I wouldn't be surprised if Scotty being part of the "bottom two" with Casey wasn't actually the true bottom two though and it was done purely for drama value to regenerate voting vigor. did Seacrest ever actually label Casey & Scotty as bottom two in terms of voting?

I'm also annoyed that America seems to really like Lauren, and hasn't been part of the bottom 2-3 in any elimination show. she definitely is not a bad singer, but I don't see anything special from her.

I'm also annoyed by that too. And who the heck keeps voting for Jacob? The both of them are one trick ponies. Jacob can sing really high notes. BFD! Lauren is a better singer than Miley Cyrus. Who isn't?

yeah, she is getting better, right? I started to dig Haley ~top 12 or 11 overall, then went back to some of those top 24 performances. Wow, pretty solid all around if you ask me.

I'm really getting effing sick of Jacob. I just skip through his stuff. I really like James, too, but skipped through the one this week (got back home at 1am last night, wanted to watch the show, and had to skip his slowness) will watch it again.

and Casey...wtf. simply horrible (that he went home--performance & duet was great. His going home performance was also good).

Crystal Bowersox is still the best contestant.

yeah he sounded pretty off in his first song, but many singers get away with non-perfect vocals and making it up with stage presence & audience interaction. James just happened to be in that boat with his first song.

anyways, hope America finally got Haley with her performance of "House of the Rising Sun." I look forward to the studio version of it.

I'm guessing Jacob is gone but not because he didn't sing or perform well. just think America is tired of his style of singing voice.

Haley's first performance of Lady Gaga was the second best tonight, and they trashed her because "people wouldn't know the song."

her final performance was the best. (I actually preferred the first bit the most. awesome song, actually, and she fricking killed it! I watched it a few times and it just got better. Judges are little bitches)

I watched James' second song again, and it was not as good as when I first saw it. His first was pretty bad, if you ask me.

Scotty was super awesome too. I'm sick of the other guys, just wish it would be Haley, James, and Scotty.


I know I've become partial, but I see Haley getting better, better, and better each week. Scotty has always been solid good. he is set and needs no convincing because he already has a trapped audience for this type of music. James and Haley will probably need to find some sort of grove after the show, but they are my favorites right now.

Haley is definitely kinda samey with her stage schtick, but I think it's fine with her persona and the type of songs that she does. James Scotty are a whole different level fo course, but that's their style.

Sometimes, Haley is perfect with it: Rolling int eh Deep two weeks ago is my favorite performance of the season so far, from anyone. fucking insane that was. She didn't even move from her spot, but it was perfect.
