Haha, yeah. When Jennifer Hudson was on last week, or whenever, I was like: HOW THE FUCK DID SHE LOSE THIS? ...I think that was Kerry Underwood, Bo Bice, though? Underwood is certainly no slouch, of course.

Surprisingly, Studdard is, I think, the 2nd or 3rd highest selling winner, even though practically no one has heard anything about him since winning. Why? He's all in the Christian/Gospel world, where they just eat anything up.

Jennifer Hudson lost in Season 3 when Fantasia won. Because Hudson went on to win an Oscar, American Idol began revising history and how they treated her on the show. Simon hated Jennifer when she was on the show and pimped Fantasia just as hard as they pimped Reuben. They gave her pimp slots and brought out her baby to beg for votes. Fantasia turned out to be the hot mess - just google her and Jennifer Hudson won an Oscar.

Reuben is actually sixth all time American Idol seller after Underwood, Clarkson, Daughtry, Clay and Fantasia.

Both Thia and Naima were boring/bad so they deserved to be booted. Haley better sing for her life next week as she won't have the pimp slot and should be singing early on and be in danger. They may need to start kneecapping some of the guys because the women are dropping like flies. I would LOVE to see Casey get booted. Serves those stupid judges right for saving him.

to me: Scotty, James, Jacob, Haley were the top performers. Stefano too. awesome stuff.

I thought Haley's arrangement was a bit of a mess at parts, but the voice was awesome.

I thought I wouldn't like Paul doing Cash, but I must admit that I dug it. Pia and Lauren were the worst/least interesting.

Thing is, for 2 or three weeks, almost all performers have been pretty good to really good. especially this week. Though, there still isn't anyone that I really like week in and week out. There is no Lambert or Crystal.

again, another person this season following up a rather well-regarded performance from a recent idol "Stud" with a weaker version. Crystal's "Natural Woman" during Hollywood week pretty much established her early on as the person to beat.

yeah, I freaking love Cash. probably in my top 5 musicians all time, and I was expecting to hate that. But I dug it. The thing about Cash, is that he pretty much loved all music. He welcomed all sorts of bizarre interpretations of his work. And did his own Bizarre covers--collaborating with Trent Reznor?

People bitched when Lambert did Ring of Fire, claiming that Cash would be rolling over in his grave. These people don't know anything about Johnny Cash, tbh.

There goes my prediction. I can kind of see it though. It's undeniable that Pia is a great singer. She's a lousy performer though and her cold, standoffish demeanor didn't help to build up a fan base.

Anyone notice that he'd dance all crazy and then he's slow right down to a practical stop for a minute like he had to give his heart a rest?! He looked in good shape for a baked 64 year old borderline anorexic though.

Seemed sorta mean to Stefano when 2 of the judges looked like they swallowed canaries after he was safe and Pia was done. No one said anything good about Stefano and he sat there looking like a pile of guilt for not being the one to go home.

I still would rather Paul hit the road than Pia. But Pia, even though drop dead gorgeous, and a great set of pipes (among other things) was a pretty limp fish as far as the performance part on stage. Looks only get you so far. You have to show stage presence, and she really didn't.

It's going to be a shock for anyone to go home at this point. They are all good.

That TMZ clip was a bit uncomfortable, as was the bit with Russell Brand. The humor/laughs seemed very forced.
