It certainly should, yes. Refer to page 55 of the manual and see the stuff that defaults to "Optimal" or "Auto?" Set them all to "User Define" or "Aggressive", etc, so that it gives you control over the detailed settings.Originally posted by: MethralArc
Oh yeah, one question. Does a deluxe board automatically unlock my 2100+ tbred b?
I heard that the early boards with early bioses don't. Does my rev2.0?

The performance improvement of the mobo alone isn't very noticable in my opinion, and I've made similar transitions twice (once from my nForce classic to my 8RDA+, and then from my K7S5A to my A7N8X-Deluxe). The features may be enough to sweeten the deal until you can pick up a faster CPU, but don't expect devastating performance increases with an 1800+ in there. Even my WinZip/UT compression benchie didn't improve significantly (I have a 1700+ in my system).Originally posted by: njrich2
Opinions. I'm looking into getting this board. I currently have a Soyo Dragon+ with an XP1800 in it. Unfortunately, the board will only support a CPU upgrade to 2100, and a pally at that. I thought of getting the 2100 pally before they are all gone, but at $80, it almost seems to make more sense to get the Asus board for $135 (and give me a lot more room to grow). Just wondering if I would see much of a performance boost for just changing to this board and the dual channel memory (as it is, going from an 1800 to a 2100 pally wouldn't be much of a boost either). Thanks. -njrich2
Do you have drives hooked up to the RAID controller? If not, that *could* be the issue.Originally posted by: edmundoab
hi, I've recently purchase the A7N8X PCB 2.0 Deluxe from newegg,
While setting up the system , I came upon this RAID feature which I have failed to disable,
according to the manual, a menu is suppose to pop up once you hit Ctrl+S or F4
but mine is just a black screen
the only thing that appears is some figures when I move the arrow keys,
can anyone help me with this RAID utility?
Try Asus' nvswap utility from here. I haven't used it myself, but I think it will fix that problem. Good luck and let us know how it goes, scorched03!Originally posted by: scorched03
i've got a question. dunno who can help
i got klipsch 4.1 plugged into this sucker. the connections in back are correct.
however i'm continually getting this hallow echo like sound. i've tried all the combos in nforce control panel, but it only gets worse in sound quality.
any one know?
Sure thing Was it the nvswap that fixed it, or was it a setting in the nForce control panel, or what?Originally posted by: scorched03
thanx. now my mobo is scorched. j/k
hehe fixed cuz i mistakenly stumbled across the answer thanx for ur help
Try holding down the Insert key while the system powers on and tries to POST. If that doesn't help, you might try changing the CPU_FSB jumper by the northbridge to pins 2 & 3 (it's shown on page 21 of the manual). That would underclock the FSB to 100MHz (DDR200) and might or might not help.Originally posted by: avalon46
