Other than the powering down hard drive problem, which was resolved by information in this thread (thanks everyone!), I haven't really had any problems with this board...until now!
Actually, this happened one other time too, but here goes: This morning I turned on my PC and didn't pay attention to any of the messages on boot up, as everything has been working fine. Then, I received a message saying something about the video card needing to have the power cable plugged in. It was a red message box with white text (Sapphire 9800 Pro 128meg card).
The last time I got this, I somehow thought maybe the power cord was loose, so I actually unplugged the cord and plugged it in again. Everything was fine the last time. However, this time, I said to myself that there was no way that the cord could have come loose. I decided to just do a warm boot.
After it came back up, I received a message saying "Overclocking failed"!?!? Of course, I hadn't done any overclocking. It allowed me to press one of the function keys to get into the BIOS. I went ahead and exited without changes and proceeded to boot up without any problems.
However, things kind of ran slow after this. After about a half hour, I decided to do another warm boot. Now, everything seems fine.
Any suggestions as to what is going on?
