Yeah, I've heard something similar to that, but I heard it was California. That never made sense to me and I didn't believe when Intel said that, but if what you say is true about the silicon being shipped to the countries from the USA, and it's the TOLERANCES that do it, then that could explain why Malay's are usually better. I'd like to know more about how tolerances can affect CPU performance. I can certainly understand it in a mechanical device, but not a solid-state device.

You have to handle the RMA over the phone though. I had my new CPU in my hands FOUR DAYS after sending mine to them!
