re hard drive boot issues
Make sure the Hard Disk priority is established correctly in the Boot section of the BIOS. this can be a tiny thing that causes many HD boot / not boot / menu pops up issues...
check this menu also if you drives aren't being recognized as bootable.. the SATA bus defaults to much lower than the CD drives or the ATA bus.
