Download the newest version of CPU-Z, and check out the memory tab. It will give you your timings and dual channel status. My screen goes by too quickly to read, so I don't know if mine says that. Sorry.

Fry's Electronics and CompUSA is where I would go to buy them.
He asked for a good "retail" place. That is why I suggested Fry's and CUSA.Originally posted by: donfm

Now I can see why you're "shueless" if you shop at CompUsa. They are the most overpriced place I know. I suggest Googlegear.com as they provide free 2nd day air shipping on all their stuff and you pay no tax. I purchased a lot of things from them and no problems NewEgg is ok but they take too long to deliver and rip you off if you want 2nd day shippng for $12 over FedEx saver rates which are included on select items. They also charge 15% for restock on returned items. Just my opinion.

The P4P800 beeps 2 times when it boots up. Is that normal for it to beep 2 consecutive times at each bootup? I thought it was supposed to beep only 1 time for normal bootups.

I got this board ( P4P800 Deluxe) last week and am running my "old" 2.53B on it until I get my 3.0C. I'm presently running an AVC Sunflower for cooling. I also have Thermaltake's Aquarius II that I ran with my Gigabyte 8SQ800 mb. I'm now concidering a Zalman CNPS7000-CU. Does anyone know if this beast will fit on the P4P800 and is it the best choice out of the beforementioned cooling options?
TIA
have the Zalman 7000 on my P4P800 Deluxe and it fits fine. Plenty room actually. It cools better than anything I have had including my MCX4000 Swiftech with a 80m fan. Plus it is SUPER quiet even on high speed. Get it. You won't regret it at all. My temp is 29C/29C (cpu/mb) as I type. Highest it has gone was 42C running Prime95.

alrighty then, I guess I'll go for it. Is the weight factor anything to be concerned about? I know my Swifty MC462 weighed a ton but at least it bolted to the mb. I'd hate to have it go crashing down on my Hercules 9800 Pro...

Our P4P800 [Deluxe] motherboard comes out as the #1 pick for Mid-Range Value.
First thing your link doesn't work. The next thing is that they picked the IS7 Abit board as best value.

This is what was said in the review.
"After much discussion we finally decided that the ASUS' P4P800 Deluxe is the best mid-range Pentium 4 motherboard currently available on the market."
They voted the Abit board "Editor's Choice".
Your using PC2100 with a PC3200 board and asking if you will "have any problems" is just a totally ridiculous question and shows you have no experience in this area.

We didn't just slap in ram in both slots and say they both work.We ran Prime95 overclocked on each set of slots with both chips and noticed this. Also, for people having problems not being able to overclock on this board like they did with their previous board with a "B" chip. You "MUST" flash bios 1006 from floppy and not skip this bios update cause it updates the boot block or something.Don't go from 1005 to 1007 bios. The 1006 has to be flashed. There is a hole between 166 and 199.You will notice you can boot to 165FSB but no matter what 166FSB will fail. This is if you skipped bios 1006.

Aye! Aye! I second that. It is the gospel truth. You must flash 1006 and FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS inside the zip file.
