I heard some rumors that the RAID 0 performance of the ICH8R is very bad. Is that true?
I get this scores:

(Two Samsung SP2004C in RAID 0 on a nForce 4 SLi)
and a friend of mine with the faster SP2050C on a ICH8R:

It doesn't look bad from your scores...they're higher than your friend's!
(Don't just look at the graph, look at the numbers)
That's right, my scores are better, but that's not my point.
I have a nForce 4 SLi based system and get better scores then a friend with a P5B Deluxe based system. Next to that, if you benchmarks both types of HDD's (the 200 and 250 version), you will see that the 250 is visible faster then the 200.
But my RAID with two slow HDD's is faster then his RAID with two fast HDD's, so it seems that there is something wrong with the RAID controller in the ICH8R
That performance looks almost identical to yours: http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/3796/raid0wi2.jpg
Eventhough your performance drop at 25% is a bit bigger, it is also on my drives, wonder why its there
Anyways, i had some problems setting my IDE drives up also, i have 1 300 GB IDE drive for windows and 2x250 SP2504C for RAID0, and in BIOS i have to set IDE configuration to "enhanced" and "Raid" and the Jmicron to "IDE".
The thing thats weird is that my IDE drive shows up as SCSI and SMART doesnt work on any of my drives.
