I recently just put together a system with this PB5 Deluxe using a e6300.
I sysprepped the os.
The install of the mobo/cpu/ram went well.
Sysprep worked awesome.
Installed all the drivers etc
Notice I the onboard sound had problems with crackling.
So I went into bios and try to see if I could but this thing up a little.
I tried 300 and that seem to work well.
I noticed that the system would power down then power off if you change the settings in bios. I'm assuming that was normal.
Well now the problem is that the system will not post.
At first I thought it might just not like the overclock I did.
It goes off, then on in a cycle.
I've tried removing cmos battery, resetting cmos several times and still it powers on then off in a cycle.
Even tried a suggestion in this thread,by powering it up with no memory, video, etc just cpu. No Beeps or anything still will power on then off in a cycle.
New Build System Specs
Asus P5B Deluxe
Core 2 Duo E6300
Crucial 10th Anniversary DDR2-667
OCZ ModStream 450 Modular PS
7900gt - From old system
etc
Does anyone else think that the board maybe defective?
I've know the videocard works since I'm typing on a Amd system with it.
Cannot test ram or cpu in another system though.
