I seriously doubt 1201 will be the final bios. This mobo is relatively new and more bios versions are sure to come.

Where's the new BIOS? All I see on Asus site is 0803 BIOS that came out in July.

Question - is there a shortcut that will let me select the device to boot from. I want to temporarily boot from CD, without messing with BIOS every time.

It's interesting that the test show that the P5Q Deluxe beat out Maximum II most of the time.

I heard that if you're using Q9450, you should stay with 803 BIOS. the later ones has something new and that messes the Yorkfield up.

Need advice setting up the a new P5Q Deluxe with 5 HDD's & 3 optical drives, all SATA. I want to hook up the 5 drives on the ICH10R's SATA connectors 0-4, while the first dvd burner will go onto the last SATA connector 5. While the other 2 burners I want to connect to the extra 2 SATA ports provided with the SIL chip.
Is this possible, as the manual says the 2 SATA ports off of the SIL chip doesn't support ATAPI devices, on the other hand SIL website states that Sil5723 does support ATAPI devices [ http://www.sci-worx.com/products/product.aspx?id=103 | look under the 'Device Interface Features']; look's like ASUS might have gone cheap on a $200+ MB and deliberately left out ATAPI support, wither in BIOS or in real hardware!
So, how exactly am I to accomodate 5 HD & 3 optical drives, all SATA, on this MB; I have solved the same problem on a $40 ECS G31 mb with an add-in card but don't want to go the same route with a mobo that I've paid over $200 for & 8 SATA drives was the main reason for me buying this specific model!
