My thought exactly. Yes, I do. Interesting update. Same make different model. Windows detects it.
Now even more interesting, I originally had the drive that is not detected on the JMicron controller. Windows saw it fine. I wanted to move it because I figured I could eliminate some resources plus the cable has to stretch across the case and is in the way of everything impeding airflow and such.
So to recap:
1. Bios detects both drives on both controllers.
2. Windows installs with drive on Jmicron and Intel controller.
3. Windows does not detect drive after install on Intel controller.
4. Windows does detect drive after install on JMicron controller.
5. Windows does detect different drive, same make/different model , on Intel controller after install.
Maybe a firmware update is required for the drive not detected on Intel controller?
Very weird and I am not sure were to get a solution from. This particular drive will not work in Windows on the Intel controller.
