Yeah i gotta say thnx to phile to, hes been helping in this thread since page 1
I got a few questions, some of which relate to this motherboard and some of which probably shouldn't be in this thread but the people here are to helpful
Ok well if i remember correctly this mother board doesn't support crossfire x16 x16 its 16x and 8x when running crossfire correct? The thing i am worried about is running dual 1950xtxs or the new r600 (if it wasn't pushed back so much) in crossfire that will the x8 slot bottleneck the card or have the cards still not reached the full potential of pci-e?
second question,
The new r600 has had rumors going around to draw 270w and the 8800 already draws somewhere closing in on that range. Now i have a 620 watt enermax psu and i was wondering will it suffice for running an r600 or 8800 coupled with ym e6300 and other components? I have heard that even a 600 watt psu isnt enough for just one r600 ( i know we havent seen the real wattage draw on that card but taking the estimated 270w) but i have heard else where that a 450w psu will be comfy running a single of the new dx10 cards and that a good 650w psu could run a dual card setup of 8800 or r600s.
I just bought this psu last august and i really dont want to go out and buy a new one or have to run a secondary psu outside of the case.
Thnx savage
