I just read someplace that if you use the two sata ports made for raid 1(ez-backup) that these are slower than the intel raid. How would they know this and is it actually true???

You're going to have to be more specific as to what is happening.
Are you getting kicked from the server?
Does your machine crash to desktop?
Does your machine lock-up (freeze) while playing?

Are you getting kicked from the server? Yes. I get kick into the lobby.
Does your machine crash to desktop? No
Does your machine lock-up (freeze) while playing? It says you are having internet problems, freezes and kicks me into the lobby.

Hi all,
Firstly, big thanks to Phile -- I've been reading this thread for a while now and have found many interesting things, many of which have been from Phile. So thanks for your help and dedication!
My rig:
- ASUS P5W DH (Bios 150x [cant' remember the last digit and am at work now])
C2D E6600 @ 3.6GHz (9 x 400) 1.55 vCore (36C Idle, 60C Load)
Tuniq Tower 120
Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800 @ 4-4-4-12 (2x1024 DIMMs)
OK, the problem I have now is that once I put my computer into Sleep in Vista I can't start it up again. Hitting the power button after going to Sleep (it goes to sleep just fine) powers up the fans etc. but doesn't show anything up on the screen. I then need to do a hard reset, which works fine. If I tell Vista to Hibernate instead, everything works just fine.
I'm thinking that the problem lies in the fact that my system is overclocked and that overclocked systems need a cold reboot in order to work properly. When resuming from Sleep, I am not doing that and so things don't work.
If this is the problem, is there any work around (going back to stock speeds is not an option )? Maybe a newer BIOS would help?
Thanks in advance people
Specifically, when I launch CoreTemp, I get an error message that says that the driver failed to load, and then when the CoreTemp window opens, it shows the temps as 100 C.
Regarding your issue, I'm really not sure what is causing your issue. I do know that many people seem to have this issue with their machines, regardless of the motherboard in use. You could try to flash to a newer BIOS. I would recommend 1707.

Make sure that you run the program as an Administrator: right click the icon/shortcut, chose 'run as administrator'. Unless you run as an Admin, you won't be able to install the driver that CoreTemp uses.
Apologies if you've already tried this and I'm just insulting your intelligence!

Are you using Vista? Have you been able to Sleep/Resume successfully with an overclocked system? If you have, then it rules out overclocking, and I can keep looking for a solution.
Thanks!
