I don't know that I would have installed any "SmartDoctor", but I did install and uninstall Probe and monitor of AI Suite II and those same three services were left over.

You would have only installed SmartDoctor if you have an ASUS VGA card. It doesn't come with any of our motherboards, so you needn't worry about that. It's a monitoring/overclocking tool for our graphics cards.

So at this point how do I get both my SSD and HDD to be recognized...?

Asus Sabertooth P67...
OCZ 120GB SSD...
Samsung F3 Hdd...
Bios 1253...

If I was you, I would setup your machine without the storage spinning drive (Samsung). After all is built and running well, go back and install the storage drive.

Essentially, this is what I have done. I havent yet purchased a storage drive, but I can survive with my 128 GB Crucial C300 for a while.

Is SSD on Intel? Marvel?
SATA3 or SATA6?
AHCI?
Bios vers?
Win 7 X64 or X86?
Did your drive come from another mobo install?
If so, how did you partition drive?
Did you partition during install with Win 7?
Did you use AHCI drivers from CD or Win 7 install?

Running 1053 still.
Intel 80 GB SSD not visible in boot devices (Same as PioneerPro's issue)

When I proceed with Win7x64 install, it starts fine. SSD shows up, but then setup says something like "cannot install on this drive, cannot see partition", etc.

I've tried both types of Intel SATA in AHCI. Formatted SSD with diskpart, Win7, gpart. Still no go.

Is this a driver issue???

I took the SSD to other box and Win7 installs right away.

I got this resolved. I have 3ware RAID controller, which I took out before installing Windows.

All went fine right away. I put RAID card back in and all runs perfectly fine.

Now, all is running with 4x2gb 1600 Corsair XMS. Tomorrow, I'll try 4x4 GB of Corsair Vengeance.

Is there a way to get the qualified memory list without having to install a download manager?

I guess I should have specified, I need to see the list before I will have the board (manual) in my possession since I plan to buy memory today.

Hey Gary, if you happen to check in on this thread I have a question regarding the memory on the qualified vendor list. I am reading other places that the memory controller for Sandy Bridge chipset is rated for 1.5V. I see many...even most...of the memory modules on the approved vendor list for the P8P67 Pro are rated 1.65 V. If SB really does want 1.5V as people are saying, then why is this?

Base memory qualification is at 1.5V, which is different than running the system overclocked and the 1.65V rule still stands as suggested maximum memory voltage.

I have gleaned much knowledge from this thread about my motherboard. Thanks for the support all.

I find it curious that the P8P67 LE is the only board yet to be updated. Are there any BIOS updates scheduled for this board?

I JUST got my PC running with 1253, will 1204 change anything? What are the benefits of 1204?

I don't wanna have to go through "FINDING" my HDD again...LOL!

Actually I'm running trouble free on 1053, and I'm reluctant to try the new one also ..
Just wanted to have it handy ..

ASUS: please test different allocation unit sizes on HDDs.
I found out that my problem was because my system (P8P67 Pro) would not boot with allocation unit size of 512 bytes on an HDD, even if it was the only drive attached, boots fine with default allocation unit size.

What problem are you having that you feel a BIOS update will fix ?

Weird issues when resuming from standby, for one. Also, an outrageously annoying "feature" of having the CPU multiplier limited to stock in the BIOS when using an unlocked CPU.

d33pblue: Check out Gary's thread at HardForums. Motherboards/Intel- Bios Update. It's long but there are some tips in there that should help. Fixed my resume from sleep issues and the dual boot thing. Also check the reviews on your board at Newegg. There are a couple of responses from Asus in there on overclocking.
