^this ,it's funny ..why would you want to flash your bios, specially with non official beta and no extra bios chip..

Notice that in step 2 of bios flash it now says boot into windows after flash, THEN do a cmos reset. Once a bios is flashed successfully, there is no reason to boot into an O/S as next obligatory proceedure. Makes no sense to me. This was also NOT neccessary with the other bios - only 1305. Something very mysterious going on here.

Not expecting any explanation either.

Hi guys

I've got a bit of a weird problem with my LE board. Everything else works fine, but my chassis fan is going nuts. As soon as I boot up the fan ramps up to 100% and is super noisy. I received the board with 1003 on (it's a B3 revision board...got it the day after they came out the factories as I live and work in China so quicker to get the fixed boards).

I set the profile that I want in XFan in the AISuite and it works fine and ramps down my chassis fan. But as soon as I do a reboot the fan shoots up to 100% again. If I go into AISuite it tells me that the settings are disabled, as it its forgotten all my previous settings.

It's driving me a little bonkers and I'm on the verge of disconnecting the fan. At 100% the fan is just too noisy.

Does anyone know if there is a fix to make XFan remember settings?

By the way, why do LE boards get so little love in the BIOS update department? I know we paid slightly less for our boards but come on ASUS! It's a brand new product and needs to be supported across the whole range of P8 boards!

Got the 1305 bios with new revision board from ASUS. What is pretty sad is that USB #3,4 (blue port)- which is USB 3.0 for the bracket still works in 2.0 speeds.

I've tried three sets of drivers, but no luck. The USB 3.0 ports on the rear panel work fine.
I have seen this problem reported on three other boards, so I am not alone.

Now, is Asus ever going to fix it in BIOS update??? Please say yes, because having USB 3.0 is important and gets pretty heavily advertised as cool-new feature to have.

Also, how can only 2 of USB 3.0 ports work fine at USB 3.0 speeds (rear) and other 2 work at USB 2.0 speeds ??? Same driver, same controller. Is this the bracket maybe???

I have a P68 Sabertooth mobo and would like to set up RAID 1 on one SATA 6 controller , boot on a SATA 6 SSD on another controller, and use two sata optical drives. Can anyone suggest which chip sets to use for which device.

Depends on what SSD/HDD you have.

You can do RAID on Intel and/or Marvell, rest goes to remaining Sata controllers/ports.

Need to know what you will hook up there to suggest anything.
