I think this game will be really fun but I'm am very disappointed after playing for 30 min tonight. I can't believe how much seems broken in the game. Yes I know its a beta.... BUT RELEASE IS A MONTH AWAY.

My first game I could actually run into someone. Now, they are already prone, 50m away, in a bush. And it seems like the teams that do that sort of thing win. Cant arm the stupid mcom without having 3 or 4 lines of sight on you. In the last game I played most of the people on my team didn't even try to arm them. I gave up 10 deaths arming and detonating both, just to run into the same thing in the subway. Just pointless.

A big part maybe because its only rush, and not as dynamic like conquest where you could actually flank the campers or just go to another capture point.

in BC2, I stopped playing Rush and started playing Conquest because Rush easily became an exercise in frustration especially on the Attacking side when players were more interested in not dieing instead of trying of trying to win the game and take down MCOMs

Rush's dependency on good teamwork is a double edged sword

I really don't think broken keybinding will still be a problem at release...

I recall thinking the same thing myself regarding BC2's server browser... boy was I wrong...

And it took them almost 2 years to get BF2's browser working properly. This web-based Battlecrap is just evidence that they've finally owned up to not having a damn clue as to how to do it correctly... "so here, just go to this pile of HTML instead."

It's fun but doesn't feel like Battlefield to me. I'm sure it's because of the close quarters of the map and no vehicles.

I've never actually cared for the "battlefield feel" (player movement, weapon handling, sound, etc), but that's the one good thing I have to say about BF3: it feels wholly different, and for the better. If all of the shit surrounding it were fixed, I'd be happy.

I agree with what someone else said about the delay after dying... TOTAL PAIN IN THE ASS. It drove me nuts in BC2 and they're still doing it in BF3. For 5 seconds you can't do a damn thing: look at the scoreboard, tinker with kits, set keybindings (oh wait you can't ever do that), or even quit. You're just stuck there staring at something.

I just played my first round against a group with tactical flashlights. Wow, those things are way too bright, it blinds your entire screen - it almost feels cheap.

Still having fun overall though, I haven't seen much of the 100% sniper rounds that others have experienced, so I guess I've been lucky in that regard.

From Battlelog, go to Multiplayer -> Server Browser

I picked North America and 5+ free slots for my filters (have to expand the filter section above the server list). Helps to find servers that aren't full.

Huh? Better than any in-game browser from BF2 or BFBC2.

Also, really nice to be able to provide a URL via email/forum post/etc to get people to join a server.

In regards to keybindings, I don't think I've adjusted them in game for years since have a Logitech gaming mouse(G9) and keypad(G13) where I can program everything there.

Tactical flashlight, or overdone scope/lens glare? The closer I get to a sniper, the harder it is to see him...

Yup, I had just commented on it as well, no vehicles and small map makes it feel closer to CoD then BF.

If this really is a beta they have a long ways to go, I see a delay to the release date if that is the case. Otherwise they hobbled together some very old code just to get a test of the net code.

No way this can be finished in 4 weeks, if this code is even remotely new.

It feels like things have been changed from the alpha so it would appear this is a different revision.

I know its beta but i don't even get kill assists half the time when this happens so wanna see if anyone else notices this.

I just pulled a 1/9 and not even 400 points on my last round and i called this one guy out on being a camper and everyone was like rage...i rarely pull more deaths then kills,idk if it was a reject cod server but i was like wow...

Noticing ALOT of campers without even vehicles it honestly gives me that crysis 2 type of gameplay and i honestly hated that game .

This was a problem in the alpha as well. Borked hit boxes has been a problem since 1942. At the end of the alpha dice actually admitted to having hit box issues (zh1nto fessed up to it either in a tweet or in the forums - can't remember which - and said they are working on fixing the issue). I complained about this in the forum during the alpha and got flamed for three pages.

That is inexcusable. They've been having this problem for how many years now? And after reading through this thread with all the other beta complaints does not leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling about this game.

They need more truth in advertising. The alpha was raw code, the beta is the alpha, the final release will be the beta and in 6 to 12 months we'll hopefully get the final release...

Ha. I have to laugh. I don't have BF3 but I was first in line for 1942, BF:V, etc. and with the exception of 1942, which was buggy but still AMAZING, I recall the newer versions just being buggy as hell. The menus/server browser was buggy as hell as if coded by a 5yo. Update after update and even the littlest of issues remained. Never again.

The worst thing to happen to DICE was being acquired by EA. At least 1942 was somewhat good. Everything post EA has been shit.

I am on a 30 inch monitor and routinely play fps but for some reason this game hurts my eyes instantly. All the bloom and effects, etc just kill.

Playing for 20 minutes and I honestly feel crosseyed and am going to lay down.

Not sure if a glitch or not, but when I went prone while inside one of the playground sets, I got stuck. Couldn't break free so I had to suicide. I also noticed a lot of other weird things too, like a guy flying 20ft after shooting him. Hopefully final release is going to be much better.

Only time it hurts my eyes is when you go from inside a building to outside, it is like the light of heaven showing me the way, since I die as soon as I step outside due to be blinded lol.
