My not so secret wish is that they release new game modes as DLC. If they sold a CTF mode, a bunch of my friends would buy it and finally stop playing BF2.
They sold some new games modes for MOH, so there is precedence...

Does this mean there's a CTF mod for BF2, or simply that CTF is what it would take to get them to move on to BF3?

Yes, we play the DCon mod for BF2, that has CTF. They have talked about moving on to BF3 and playing squad rush in BF3, but it just won't be the same.
Not on 95% of the servers, and the 5% left will probably not be a good ping. Because even if DICE leaves it as is, have no fear, servers will answer the call and use Procon to deathtouch and ban for uncap attacks to keep USMC jet rape going flank speed ahead.
People that suck deserve to get baseraped. Best part about BF2 and even BC2 is that you could do it (somewhat in BC2)
Hm, I didn't know that. Is it as fun or more than say, BF1942 El Alamein CTF?
The thing is, a LOT of people share that view, yet a disproportionate number of servers compared to the APPARENT number of people who hold that view enforce uncap rules.
Apparently, server administration is like politics. As a player, you may say and do one thing, the instant you own a server though, it all goes out the window.
It's funny, I RARELY saw admins actually on servers, enforcing any rules during public play in BF2, or even BC2.
the worst part was assholes landing the helos to repair in the uncap and my tracer dart following rocket following them in and blowing it up, thus killing me. that happened alot on heavy metal
yeah we can hope. also the helo was landed when it happened, and the guy had gotten out and died as a result of the the rpg hit to the hind.
it was impressive if I do say so myself
How to change Origin ID :
Download Scrabble Free for iOS and then log in with your Origin account. Once you've logged in go to settings (the little gear in the bottom left corner) and then click on "Edit Account" and there you go. You can change your username to something you are more comfortable with. Same for Android.

DICE Senior Designer, Fredrik Thylander revealed some interesting information about camo in Battlefield 3 saying there would be 12 unlockable sets. Currently we know about the SPECACT camo set, which is a pre-order bonus for people who pre-order from Best Buy (in North America). It is unknown if the SPECACT camo will become one of these unlockable sets. This would also explain the appearance option that was spotted in a gameplay video earlier this week. Fredrik also clarifies some point values for arming and disarming Mcoms in Battlefield 3. 200 points to arm and 500 to destroy. In conquest the flag cap points vary.
This weekend, the NVIDIA GeForce LAN 6 is running and those attending have been lucky enough to play 5 Battlefield 3 Maps. A couple of days ago we reported about a User on Reddit, who found a way to actually change your Origin ID through the EA Scrabble Game for iOS or Android Systems. A lot of people still dont have such a Smartphone, so another User on Reddit wrote a small Application you can use on your Windows PC to change your Origin ID. Before you say why should i put my password in some application someone wrote on the internet, we can assure you, it wont steal your password or Account Data. The application itself uses the EA Android API to send the commands to change your Origin ID. The Author was also kind enough to release the Source code of this tool. So if you still have concerns using it, you can check the source and just compile it yourself.

Global Battlefield Community Manager, Daniel Matros and Battlefield 3 Lead Multiplayer Designer, Lars Gustavsson took the stage yesterday at EB Games Expo (in Australia) in front of 2500 people. Battlefield 3 won the Game of the Show award and Best Console Game award at the EB Games Expo.. Checkout the 20 minute presentation below.
Anyone else get the feeling that Kotaku has been paid off by Activision? All their BF3 coverage is negative.
