I'm old skool dude i got my disc copy from Best Buy at my local midnight release:awe:
Even the cashier confirmed it but like out of like the 30 people standing in line for their copy,only 2 people got a pc version

I thought they said there was a day one patch to add joystick support? I haven't been around my computer so I don't know if there has been a patch yet? Anyone?
Am I the only one stuck on the stupid first spacebar QTE (climbing back up the train) in single-player? I'm not even sure what it's telling me to do.
Patch was included in the launch download, but joysticks are still borked. I joined my first game and I couldn't stop shooting...I had to switch to pistol. I could ADS, but not shoot with the mouse button. Movement was severelt messed up. Took about 15 min before I figured out I just needed to unplug my joystick until they work out the mapping.I thought they said there was a day one patch to add joystick support? ok default interact key is "E" so i'll try that... but being that is the tutorial area you would think that would be much clearer.. there isnt even a popup that comes up like the movement/crouch prompts right before that.
I tried just keying it and it did nothing.. will try holding it later.
First thing you should do if using a Joystick is to unbind all of the Axes and the throttle control from the "on foot." I had the same reverse issue until I unbound it from the "on foot" control. Otherwise, the joystick is working great, and I'm very excited they got it working!
However, my thumb buttons on my mouse won't bind, I'll have to see if software helps that.

There was about 50 or so at mine... only saw 3 people buy the PC version. That's including my brother and I. :awe:
Just saw the BestBuy forums full of people not getting their codes... some of them got codes but it was for the dogtags from Amazon instead. I guess EA sent them the wrong bunch. lol
Is there an un-bind option, or do you have to go through binding everything to the fire button, until only the fire button is bound (or something similar).
Whats even more funny when i saw this and when my claims got verified by the best buy cashier,all of a sudden i made a comment about how i guess people aren't gonna be stupid enough to build a $1,000 super computer to play it and shes like yeah i'm sure thats it:awe:
I swear for a second i thought i made a mistake buying the pc version and almost went for a ps3 version myself thinking they knew something i didn't.
But i was like hell no BF3 on pc is gonna be epic screw the console purchase.:biggrin:
Something is jacked up with IE and Origin. This happened to me as well and it worked in Beta fine. I installed Chrome browser, made it my default browser and now it works fine using the Chrome browser.
So, Metro sucked as a rush map and it really really really really sucks as a conquest map. The map has 3 points you can capture, the middle one is behind a wall/square area so you have to be on its side to capture it, that point faces the enemy that comes from outside, the team that comes from outside can also run straight to that point quicker then the team that starts inside the tunnels below. Basically whoever starts outside wins unless you guys utterly screw up. You get to hold 2 points and control all the choke points that lead up to it. Horrible horrible fucking map.

I bought from my chair and used Origin though very painless and worked great.
Nice. Game still crashes to desktop every 5 minutes of playing, just like in the beta.
From my post and another guys post about how many console vs pc reservations i do believe its mostly cause of the huge system requirements the game calls for.
Graphics wise is it worth dumping a pair of gtx580 for?
The game is sweet and all but is it $200 cpu/ $300 gpu sweet?

not seeing this on 3 different machines.
there is another difference.. most PC guys do not get their stuff from B&M stores anymore.. no reason to.
and yes.. 64player and photo realsitic is worth every penny..
