Does anyone know how to change the Avatar on Battlelog? Don't want to use the default EA Avatars - Like GullyFoyle has the cool Godzilla Avatar! :biggrin:

The silencer is key on most CQB maps. Not showing up on the mini-map when you shoot pretty much allows you to take our a ton of the opposing team, undetected, if you pull off a nice flanking move.

The INRV is just fine, if people don't like it, all they have to do is equip it, and they have the same advantages. The biggest thing it does is allows you to clear main roads quickly and advance on positions faster.

In Battlelog, click on Profile at top.
Click on Edit Profile under your big picture.
At top right is a link to Gravatar site. Go to that site and create an account.
Use that site to set up a picture.
Go back to your profile and enter the e-mail address in your profile you
registered on Gravatar site with.
Save. done.

I played 3.5hrs yesterday. Finally got some good time in and gained 5 levels. SCAR-H is very easy to get kills with on engi.

Thanks for the link! Did you try the fix in the first post? I'm going to give that a whirl tonight. It's nice to know it's not just me and to see that issue with the first level on single player on there as well, that was really annoying me.

I can't wait to play the game when I can actually see icons above others, would make it soooo much easier

Nice! I have thur and friday off so I'm planning on finally getting some solid time in. This ~30 min at a time combined with the no icon above players issue has made the game quite frustrating. I'm finally just about back to a 1/1 KDR, it's time to get above that before I get too far behind.

I don't believe bloom is what you guys think it is. Sun flare is not bloom and I don't think you can disable it. Bloom is more of a lighting technique that you can disable in the normal settings page (I believe it's HBAO).

hahah wishful thinking on my part. I did look around as well and didnt see a difference, but since it wasnt doing what I hoped it would do I turned it back on.

Not yet. According to game designer comments, there are many more factors involved in the ballistics in BF3 than there were in Bad Company 2. It may be quite a challenge to reverse engineer the stats as has been done in the past.

nope did not work for me at all.. my array was already perfect. even changed cables and drivers etc..

down to playing on a single monitor till it's fixed

As far as I'm aware, 1) shooting an unsuppressed weapon will result in a minimap ping 2) being spotted and regardless of gaining direct cover from line of sight to your original spotter will result in the minimap remaining for a short period as well.

I've given up on trying to pretend I can be a long range threat as an engineer and run suppressed SCAR or G36C 100% of the time now since you can sneak around in buildings or cover and get 2-3 people before anyone zeroes in on your position by tracking their dead teammates.

My only complaint with the G36C is the reload animation isn't obvious enough to tell that you're actually reloading. Everything else does a 45 deg tilt to the right, the G36 just sits there and then you vaguely see the magazine go out and back in.

Probably a dumb question. In the Filter options, does checking a box filter that particular feature Out? So if i check punkbuster OFF, will it only search for servers that have it enabled and filter out the ones that have it turned off?

I bought two dr. peppers to get the dog tags from the promotion and successfully added the Friday and Six Wolf Moon dog tags on the site (it had me login to my EA account). Does anyone know where I can add them onto my character? On the battlelog the dog tags don't show up at all.

Will MW3 outsell it? Yes. It's already outselling it on Amazon on a daily basis, and the darn game isn't even out yet.

But will anyone still be playing MW3 five years from now? I don't think so. On the other hand this game, like BF2 before it, has the legs to carry it many years.

To be honest, if they put out CoD games as often as BF then they'd probably have a similar life cycle. I'm not saying anything about either game itself, I'm just saying you're not exactly comparing apples to apples here.
