Finally won some games on the AT server! Had a damn good team for Rush and Conquest. For whatever reason nobody wanted to ride in the vehicle I was in, so I just parked and manned the gunner myself. I had 5-6 kills there before I tried to get a better angle and nudged forward a tad. I hit a mine and died If I had stayed put I might have lasted a few more kills.

LOL, you are quite the connoisseur of boxes! Did you honestly buy it just to display it or as a backup of some kind?

I actually also have a boxed copy, from Newegg - I'm giving it to my bro - makes a nicer gift presentation than a download, and it's also easier for him to install.

Using Dxtory. It cost like $10 more than Fraps, but you can select a different capture codec and arbitrarily set the resolution which can help on the file size. I use UT codec in 4:2:0. MSI Afterburner is similar, and its free. Edit with Premiere Pro.

BTW, this is the first Battlefield game that I dont have a box for. I may pick one up when they are cheap.

Nizology and Zargon (or maybe someone else) went on a mortoring frenzy last night - I can picture them laughing in front of their PCs everytime they get a kill...

In one map I tried to sneak up to Zargon to knife him but he shut off his mortor in time to kill me!


Just be sure to check your six! I love sneaking up on mortors to knife them! Even if that ment I die being longer than 10 seconds in the opposing teams spawn. Just because people hiding in their own spawn mortoring does not guarantee their safety! LOL :ninja:

I was worthless with the mortar, only dried it on the d-peak. I hate being knifed :ninja:

Had some fun games tonight too, almost won rush on Grand Bazaar with an awesome squad. And it was fun getting the server started playing defense using my pistol only...

How many people bought a hard copy of the PC version, vs. Digital sales?

This may have been available as a digital version from Xbox Live and the Playstation store, but doesn't that eliminate the resale/trade in option? So who would do it?

Never kept up with how consoles release their games and sell them i just expected more pc gamers to be picking up physical hard copies but perhaps its a by gone era.

Dear clients,

DICE has Released the R7 patch for Battlefield 3. This patch addresses the rubberbanding problems experienced in server with more than 48 slots.

We are currently deploying the R7 patch to all servers.

Changelog for R7:

- Server improvements that should decrease rubberbanding
- TDM/SQDM spawn point fix
- 2 crash fixes in end of round
- Fix for connection problem when joining password protected servers
- Removed ‘vars.allUnlocksUnlocked’ once ranked server settings are enforced, this may come back in some form.

I saw you there in the tunnel when you were mowing dudes down with the HMMWV 50 cal. I figured you were doing alright holding people back. I was in your squad (dudemcgraw on origin). The rush on that bridge map was pretty fun.

You don't need to be that good to join the server. Lots of people are new at the game. I'm still pretty terrible but I play on the server anyway. Still fun :awe:

I agree with gorcorps on the ATOT server - I'm having fun too, but for some reason I'm feeling old and slow in this game. The feel is different enough from BC2 that I can't get a rhythm going. Also, half of my deaths occur at spawn, either spawning in a squad vehicle that is disabled (drawback of the disabling feature), or spawning directly in the line of fire. So frustrating...I've taken to just spawning at the deployment rather than on my squad members. I honestly think this has to do with the player count on somewhat cramped maps - there's just so much gunfire that it's hard to spawn and actually get any momentum (or even forward movement). I actually like Caspian the most because of that - it's wide open enough that I'm not constantly spawning in a fire fight. I have to do more hoofing, but I'd rather do that than suffer yet another insta-death.

Anyone else feel the same way?

are they really using it? I mentioned before that a few of us turned our mice dpi up and the 'sensitivity' bar in game down and got alot of feel back

What does this mean? jumpiness with the scopes?

My deal with the sniper class is I wish they would have to mouse sensitivity settings (Similar to RO2)

a normal sensitivity an 'sites' / zoom / scoped sensitivity that were independent of each other.

would make it so much nicer to configure.

I don't even know what negative mouse acceleration is, but I keep hearing people complain about it. This have to do with a mouse input setting? Because I've just used 'raw input' or whatever since beta.
