I hate how I cannot modify my mouse sensitivity on the fly with my MX 518 mouse...I don't want to have to try to go into properties every time I am wanting to adjust it...

My mouse up and down sensitivity buttons have no effect...

What mice does everyone else use that has a high DPI that is adjustable on the fly?

I use the MX518 and my dpi buttons work properly in game. Maybe try downloading the latest drivers and setpoint software.

Nice, I didn't think I would like dog tags, but it is a nice customization feature to set yourself apart. Though, it looks like the redemption flow is a bit borked as I get an error after selecting the platform of choice.

So is anybody else colorblind?
I'm having issues distinguishing between squad members and enemies when the enemy is highlighted red.
I know in bfbc2 they had an option for colorblind people, i wish they would have brought that over.

wow so everything is different settings file wise, and its not there anymore

more than a few things have dissappeared out of the settings file

I read an interview with patrick bach and they said they addressed alot of issues people had with BC2 and 'dx9' hacking

Any opinions on the LMG's guys?

Ive tried the M249/M240B/M60E4 and i dunno, i really liked the M249 and im doing quite well with the M240 its got extra kick but theres quite a few times at range when i shoot someone they get away and i keep thinking "i couldve killed him with the M249" maybe its just me but it seems to be the best one for ranged engagement.

Yes those are the ones. Worked fine for me. They're at the top of the dog tag list for me when you filter by "misc".

imagine a sniper with an 8X or 12X

or even a 4x IR acog style.......

My favorite unlock thus far has just become smoke grenades. These little canisters of joy have earned me several kills by themselves (that plunk! as it hits is maybe in my head... but I hear it anyways) and they really can cover my squad's advance and then surprise! out of the smoke and take a point/m-com.

Hardly, lethal in and of themselves, but tactically super-fun for me.

My best was "smoking" three dudes only to run up into them and unload a clip taking them all out. I was maybe too giddy, but it was damn fun.

edit: Seems some servers allow queueing while others dont. Weird.

Basically, you need to rack up kills with your regular M320 grenades. My advice: play Metro/Grand Bazaar. There are enough choke points that grenades can be useful and you can burn through the requirements to get the almost useless buckshot upgrade and then get the Smokes.

Saw a rank 40 player tonight and first thing i thought was either he is very good or a no lifer cause before that the highest rank player iv'e seen yet was rank 26...

But saw him and about 3 other guys camping on a building one of them handing out med kits and he had a 9/0 ratio so i was like another god damn camper...lol .

Really hate the people only caring only about their ratio if you want some killstreaks please go play MW3 when it comes this isn't deathmatch its conquest...

Heck, Canbacon is almost 40 and he is kicking ass all the time. SLUAequitas is 38. If I had a 2 KD I would be at 40. :biggrin:

"NVIDIA has been tracking down TDR (Timeout Detection and Recovery errors) that users have been experiencing on the latest GeForce drivers with Battlefield 3. They have even asked some users to send in their graphics cards for testing, where they have been able to reproduce the same problems. They note this will be a must fix for their upcoming driver release this month (not this week or next). Thanks Blues News. "

Just to clarify, its not related to BF3 specific. Its just the driver itself, have been getting these like crazy since 280 series.

I'm rank 41, it is ok, you guys will catch up some day.
The ranks actually go decently fast as you get further into the game, due to the way the 10k medals start coming more frequently (as you build up a bunch of ribbons there is a higher chance you will trigger one each round). There will be rounds where I will get 20-30k extra in medals.

i sure hope DICE gets the server side squared away soon. geeze. my server got updated to R7 (the queueing one) tuesday night as a forced update which killed the server while it was full, then once it came back up it started crashing mid-round due to the queue. now that its off, it still crashes though it takes longer before it happens. now its every few hours. on the bright side, R7 did fix the rubberbanding i would get on some of the maps. havent put tehran highway back in the rotation yet to see if that one is fixed but the others seems better.
