I haven't read the thread but need some Single Player Campaign help. So, I am back on the train after Solomon (sp?). I press E to jump out the window, press Space to jump across to the train an land in front of the other window. But my character almost always just spins around facing away from the window and then I die. I've tried holding/pressing E. I tried holding/pressing Space. Nothing else happens.
No joystick is BTW, just keyboard and mouse.

Double tap the hell out of the space button and if this is after he fires at you thru the window you end up getting on top of the train actually.

The Javalin is weird. It seems to hit objects more than the target its after. Tried it on caspian today and hit more rocks/trees than tanks.

I think there is a bug with laser guided rockets - my Jet's Guided Missles and Javalins have been hitting rocks too...

Thanks. He doesn't even shoot at me. As soon as I jump over to the train I can see the window but then I immediately turn to my right and then I die. And I'm not trying to turn to my right????

I've noticed that too unfortunately. Even though it sucks when teams get stacked like crazy I still love the chaotic 64 player servers.

Might be cause the game needs a patch.

I gave it another go tonight i had zero disconnects and all of a sudden on my best round yet again i get disconnected like always ...like this game hates me.

large ticket round of metro pistol and knife first i deal with frustration with my pc lagging then i get the boot up my ass and i get disconnected losing a good 5k points and a few ribbons along with that.

Going back to BC2 i had few server disconnects and at least i keep my points in case of a server drop or disconnect...

lock on and then fire it straight up in the air. Makes it do a giant arc and come almost straight down on the target. should help some but its not fool proof

I was thinking this too. When you search for servers though, it will pretty quickly give you a list. Give it 5-10 seconds and then scroll your page down and it will load more servers, many of which will be full. So scoll down and let it re-populate, then sort by # of players.

i get tons of empty servers already... and just bought it!!!

The truth is that when the game first appeared on Oct. 25th, servers were overflowing. That was to be expected, because the people willing to put the most time into it jumped right it and did exactly what they wanted to do...they put tons of time in. Now some of them have played upwards of 125-150 hours, and they're fatiguing. Heck, I'm fatiguing and I only have 35 or so hours.

Guys - we really can't blame this all on MW3 or Skyrim. It just wasn't sustainable to have so many servers. We've all been losing sleep and getting to work late b/c of BF3. It's a great game. It might need a patch, but that's not why the servers are showing up empty. It's because we, the committed players of BF3, simply can't put enough time in to keep the huge number of servers full.

Look, I played BF2 for five years. I always found servers to play on. Unless something has drastically changed in the PC gaming arena, I expect to be able to play BF3 for years to come.

Yah i think lots was turned off with game, the patch hopefully will bring lots back.

I only get 5-8 64 player servers anymore in north america.

You can filter the server list by the number of free slots. I can still find Conquest servers with a few open spots left, but I do have a hard time finding full Rush servers.

I don't have this yet for my PC, but can somebody give me the Cliff Notes version for how the server end of this works? I'm guessing its probably not like the consoles where you end up online and the client goes out into the cloud to match you up w/ a appropriate (hopefully) server w/ a acceptable Ping. How does this work on the PC? Do you have to actively troll around to find a server? And said server is not really managed by EA so you're at the mercy of whomever is hosting the server?

Am I out in left field or is this kinda on mark?

Due to Battlelog connect issues, a large number of players are not able to play. I know several of my friends aren't able to connect to Battlelog. Supposedly, the patch this week is supposed to correct the issue.

I do have a hard time finding full Rush servers.

I don't think I have ever had an issue finding almost full rush servers (1 or 2 spots open) I have noticed I can actually get into these servers though. When it first came out I gave up trying to join servers with 1 or 2 spots open because it was always full by the time I clicked 'Join'

Mortars and AA needs to be nerfed. Sitting in spawn with AA is goofy as heck.

I don't see the pain in mortars. If they are sitting back in the spawn zone they are most likely just sitting still. I say good luck, as I will counter mortar them. They are only a problem is if the match is a complete stand off and everyone is camping one area. Just make sure you be like a shark and keep moving to different cover areas.

I just hope they reduce the effective range of Stingers. They should be used by infantry to scare jets away. Not 1 hit them out of the game. Some maps I'll be flying close to my teams spawn and get killed by stinger and the killcam shows their guy standing in their spawn. It's stupid.
