I bind pitch up to space bar. Once you get used to it and remember that 99% of your jet maneuvering is performed by pitching up kb/m with spacebar as pitch up is the only way to fly.
The hardest thing for me to get used to was forcing myself to stop using the mouse to "force" my jet to do things. Use the mouse to control your roll and spacebar(pitch up) for everything else. Once you get that ingrained in your memory then you can start working on precision pitch control with the mouse for aiming.
I flew around a empty server using rockets on vehicles for about 30 minutes and then I had the hang of it. It's ridiculously fun blowing up an enemy AA vehicle with rocket pods from across the map now.
Stupid Question: Is it possible to beat the co-op exfiltration mission if you don't manage to stay quiet for the guards you kill to rescue the hostage? My buddy and I get to the end no problem, but we always die there immediately (where you both have to get out of the hummers and you're being shot at from everywhere). Any tips? We never seem to be able to make the double headshot/camera takeout.
Just a pet peeve but it drives me totally bat shit insane that I can't destroy a buggy with a single shot from a SMAW. It's a glorified dune buggy. Really?

In my 50 hours of game play I've had probably 2 hours worth of real solid squad team play and it was epic. The other 48 hours are very fun and I always enjoy the game, but when I had a true squad that worked as a cohesive unit it was just amazingly fun.Played a round this morning and encountered a hacker on the server. It really makes for a frustrating experience. He joined midway through the game, and ended up 72-3 or something, while other top scorers were in the 10-10 range. He was in someones tank, and the driver agreed that he was hacking. I can see how this sort of thing can ruin a game. I hope EA/DICE really cracks down on it.
Also, as a lackluster player, it really is no fun joining a server as a lone wolf. I am much too terrible to be running around solo. I find myself trying to get ANYONE to use teamwork, but probably only get 1% participation. I am certainly willing to sit there and SOFLAM or CITV, and I do it a lot, but no one will use Javlins or guided shells. I guess my games will be relegated to evening sessions with ATers.
Is there anyone willing to play coop sometime this week or Christmas week, I would like to knock out the extra weapons quick.
