Go play a round of TDM on the map Grand Bazaar, its a mortarer's heaven. I went 51-8 a while back there using nothing but the mortar. All of my deaths were from the other teams mortar men.Have not been killed by a single mortar strike yet in BF3.

But it makes it more satisfying when people are tubing the escalators; absolute carnage and pinned down; then you push through and break the line. The guys at the top of the scoreboard on the enemy team are all typing different versions of "WTF"
Recently started playing again. I'm horrible all of a sudden.
My KD ratio wasn't great before, like 1.3-1.5, but in the last few days besides one round at 1.6, I'm at like 0.5.
Part of it I think is getting used to Karkand again (did play Bf2) and part seems I always am facing the wrong way. Like 80% of my deaths are because a guy shoots me in the back and I have no chance.

Anything > 1.0 KDR is good because you are helping your team.
< 1.0 and your KDR isnt that great.
A well played sniper is great. It's just that the kind of player that the sniper class typically attracts is not exactly a team player.
That, and the average player would be much more effective with an automatic rifle than a bolt action.
The problem is though, at least on the 360, 1 in 10 Recons will actually use either. The other 9, if they use anything, use Tugs because they're afraid someone is going to sneak up behind them and ruin their precious streak.
Every time I use Recon, before I even take my first shot, Soflam is up, though no one hardly uses Jav, because no one ever uses Soflam so it sucks.
i unlocked the guided missle upgrade for the attack helo pilot .....but how the F does it work?

yes but if you spend alot of time defending caps on armor maps or playing rush, or arming mcoms, your KDR is going to tank

Guided missile and laser painter can both be equipped at the same time.
Guided missile and laser painter can both be equipped at the same time. It's really helpful because you can get AA's to pop their smoke with the painter and then hopefully get a missile off before it recharges.
This is for scout helicopters anyways.
Guided missiles have the added benefit of being able to lock onto soflams. Too bad the soflam hitbox is underground and they have the same amount of hitpoints as a tank....
If you're a decent gunner though the guided missiles in the attack chopper is the worst thing you can choose. By the time you lock onto something you're dead, and you could have killed it using your main cannon. TV missiles on the other hand

my friend chris who hasnt had a gaming pc in YEARS and mostly plays COD on PS3/360, was giving pc gaming another shot.
he managed to get a vehicle desable ribbon, as I had him running around with the javelin since waco and someone else were soflaming
