I'm not using the default control scheme, I think I have toggle crouch on ctrl (as opposed to the default hold ctrl or z or c or whatever it was).

Is this basically an exploit of some sort? Or are you trying to trick us into a Bad Luck suicide?

I mean, in real life, for minimal damage, you'd basically land in a crouch-like fashion tucking/leaning forward, roll on then off the balls of your feet and let the momentum carry you through a controlled roll... so landing stance could be a built in variable for jumps/falls. I'm thinking bug though?

Their server patch seems to have hurt more than it helped. Two out of five games stuck on the black load screen for me this morning. I had no trouble getting into a server but could never load the next map after finishing a round.

I can confirm that using the crouch key does appear to lessen damage taken after a fall (based on my less than scientific testing last night). Thanks "Superman".

The patch fixed almost all my issues but the only issue remaining is their scoring system.

I was just on a round of Metro the server wasn't loaded fully and i got kicked to make room for a member and 12k points flushed down the toilet 10k on a savior ribbon and it sorta pissed me off.:|

Edit: nevermind looks like after a round of Caspian Border the points finally catch up after saving...is that how it works on each save it updates your stats page cause the kick didn't save nothing it just closed the game..

Had the same problem last night...seems to get hung up that you've tried to start a game and then Origin updated. Once I restarted my system I had no more problems. Full restart was required...not just restarting game.

Yeah, points arent awarded until the round is over. AFAIK the only way to lose your points is if the server itself crashes.

Just finished watching that one.

EA needs to commit that to an ad campaign (full video w/theme) on TV, even if they only use it once during a big program. Wonder if they could work some magic and recreate it (in-engine still) with best visual settings, and then proudly state such during the ad.

Late in the product's ad-worthy life, well sort of, not sure if anyone would commit a massive amount of money when the game has been available for a few months now.

A re-creation of it would definitely have a few differences, but they'd be the ones capable of hoarding enough "actors" together and actually being able to easily coordinate individual scenes.

If they'd release a decent editor, the engine would offer an excellent ability to film acted videos and you know there would be some website that springs forth and makes a video series. Really, that's all I want - the engine would be amazing for that. Even better if you can just script and render at even more amazing details using said engine.
