The 50 zealots was a joke referring to your post a few days ago. Im just sick of all the bitching and whining about the game, if people dont like it then they shouldnt play it.

Vote with your pocketbook, if it doesnt sell then DICE will soon get the picture. Personally I like variety: TDM, Conquest, Rush - big maps, small maps - vehicles, infantry - the more the better. Im happy with the game so far and will gladly buy all of the DLC's they make for it as long as the price is reasonable.
In general I like a lot of different game modes too, but if I can pass on the DLC and not lose anything I want in the exiting modes I think I'll pass on the CQC pack.

Yes, I know, but I was being facetious, there aren't really only 50 zealots, that was the point, I'm sure that if DICE properly polled the community and also accounted for various factors, they conclude it's a lot closer to 50/50. I personally like all game modes, in BF2 I would have played TDM modes early in the day when none of my friends were on, if TDM had existed then. But large conquest with a squad full of guys with mics is the true experience for me. and in BC2 I did in fact play a SHITLOAD of squad deathmatch. But in BF3 though, I couldn't even bring myself to play TDM in the mornings when my friends weren't on for fear of contributing even more to small map telemetry.

Now, that said, if Armored Kill is a noticeable improvement I'll buy it to contribute to sales figures of proper gameplay even if I don't play it because of Planetside 2.

But everyone who says "don't like it, don't play it", the question for you is this: If every Battlefield from here on out focused on something you didn't like, would you not feel like lobbying for a return to your kind of Battlefield? How many more years would you play BF3 before you started seriously thinking "OMG, we need another BF game done like they did BF3". 2 years? 3? 5?

Damn, I'm really tired of this f'ing game starting in single player mode when I'm trying to join a server. Is there a fix for this?

So technically, we're up to at least 2,670 zealots so far, not to mention winning the poll so far. Inb4 "7000 votes isn't enough for a good sample".

Those guys are zealots! I've put in over 150 hours, and check this thread a couple of times a day, yet have no desire to participate in battlelog polls!

Although, it could be that there are only 7K people playing these days. If thats the case, the poll has some weight.

LOL I thought I was the only one that got this. This never happens to any of the guys I play with.

I must say that since the game came out, I find myself agreeing with ManiacAlpha 90% of the time. Missing integrated VOIP, audiospotting and other issues that affect game pacing are a serious downer.

Even if you like the game, you can still lobby for things you think would make it better.

I'm hoping that they release a CTF game mode so that my friends will rent a server, and I can experiment with the settings, to see what I can do to tweak it more to my liking.

Actually Infinity Ward already did that to me. CoD4 was the pinnacle for the series and its been in the crapper ever since. And to be honest Ive bitched and whined about it plenty over the years.

To sort of answer your question, I played CoD4 exclusively (I did give MW2 and BFBC2 a fair shake but for me they were unbearable.) until Black Ops came out. I played BO for about 5 months before returning to CoD4. BF3 finally gave me the game Id been waiting for since 2009.

Capture the Flag? I like that mode...loved it for El Alamein back in BF1942.

I prefer it with vehicles though and for vehicles, you do need El Alamein sized maps otherwise, it becomes a high-paced cap after cap after cap game because if the maps are too small there's not enough room to chase down the flag runners when on defense.

I guess the new vehicles will include office chairs and mail carts.

If I can mount my MG 240b on mail carts or office chairs to get accurate sustained shooting and push it around that would be GOLD!! I can just picture the carnage that can cause!

Because half the game is already CQB.

I wouldn't go that far. Just because a map has some CQB doesn't make it a CBQ map. There are really only three of those: Metro, Bazar and Seine

I agree on the sun glare though

NO they dont its like he said, people just run in a circle around the map capping one undefended flag after another. Its like playing whack a mole, it sucks.

8000 point totals with single digit kills and deaths...

Heh. I want the ability to kill with a stapler. Or a pencil chain gun

Love hate memories of Shipment comes to mind as does that one inside a building

I hope they dont do it like the last patch. They crammed it into the B2K DLC and forced everyone to re-download the DLC content that was already installed with the Limited Edition. Even if you had the standard edition and did not want B2K you still had to download the DLC content to update the game. That was 4GB's of epic fail!

Completely uninterested in the first expansion, I'm solidly behind our maniac in that we need larger maps, not smaller maps. Lame. If I want my infantry fix, I've already got Seine and Bazaar.

Yes, I suck at editing, feel free to do it better!

Edit: That's from the old Our Man Flint movie, for who doesn't recognize it...

I'm really not liking this origin/battlelog setup. Why is it that when I search for servers, it only loads about 10 of them at first, and only 1 has any people playing in it? I have to keep scrolling down the page for it to load some more so I can actually find a decent server.

Pretty much every single in-game server browser I have ever used has worked better than this.

edit: wait, I have to reload the game every time I want to change servers? WTF?

I actually greatly prefer it now, leave it as one of my homepages.

There are filter options, set it to what you want (I leave mine with NA prefs, 1-5 slots empty--gives me only full servers that give me good pings).

The more I play this game the more I get turned off, which is a shame because I was really excited for it and really enjoyed BC2.

edit: I've played 2 matches and it's crashed both times within a couple of minutes.

I prefer it over an in game browser since you can launch right from the server browser into a game without having to go through menus, opening splash screens and so on. I'd still rather use something like Steam's server browser.
