Current state of tank resilience in game.

Actually I think they may now be made of wood. The vehicles have been overly nerfed there is no reason to play anything besides infantry now. Everyone is running around as an engineer easily killing everything that moves. Conquest now sucks, back to TDM I go.

helis running below radar and ECM are damn near unkillable


also i thought i read that Guided Rockets could no longer lock onto air vehicles, that is not true, you can still shoot helis and planes with the tank + guided rocket

They were refering to the Guided Rockets perk for attack helicopter pilots; previously, we could engage other helicopters at long range with the normal rockets easily.


As for tanks, I think they made them too weak, however the direction they were headed was a good one--tanks should be pushing with support from infantry, not just zerging in and holding points singlehandedly. Still can rack up quite a few kills and push objectives, just have to be more cautious not to be flanked.

Seriously, what the hell were they thinking with this tank b.s. Engineers were already OP... now it's just silly. I'm glad I got most of the armor unlocks finished already, though the mobile AA I'm still missing half of them...

its not a joke, 2-3 engs can pretty much shut down all land vehicles

it was bad before but now its just worse with the changes to how much damage tanks can take & repair nerf

Ground vehicles are now officially broken on the PC.

It won't help. Thanks are dead in 3 RPG hits now. Which really doesn't of the fact that the engineer is the most used class, and there are 32 enemies on the opposing team.

they are broken the console as well. id argue they were before the patch as well as on any of the smaller vehicle maps you were lucky to go about 10 feet before getting hit with an RPG or Jav

id say at least 50% oe people play eng on the console

Geez...must have been kicked 5 times today. Whats with all the fricking rules? Not even consistent, like you cant use spamming weapons, but LMGs are allowed and not shotguns? On Bazaar, no spawn camping, but I guess you can't kill people trying to advance on C. Ended up on a TDM server where half the fricking weapons were not allowed. And its all after the fact...you get kicked, then you find out the rules. Was going like 40-5 using just the M1014, and they started camping with lmgs and bipods so I switch to SV98, get one kill, and kicked. Finally getting my groove back but it looks like BF3 became pussified...

You mean unlocks and stats? Mine seem to be working fine on the PC.

I love the vehicle nerfs!! This is what Battlefield needed. This shit was so ridiculous how one tank can take so many RPG hits and how they can just ruin the game. More power to the infantry!!!!!!

This new patch appears to have wrecked havoc on the performance of my 7970...where i would often hang around 60fps average in caspian border it seems to be much lower like 52-55 and it feels like its at like 35fps...vram has jumped to 1370+mb used,for gtx570 owners this may now be a problem...

Anyone else seeing this?

1080p all ultra settings post aa at medium and 2x msaa enabled

Edit:disabling msaa all together and vram usage peaked at about 1259mb about 5 mins in...why such the jump in usage?
