FWIW, running at my native 1920x1200 knocks 10% off the frames.

Can anyone here teach/tutor me on flying planes and copters on PC? I mean, enter a session with me (I guess private would be best), where we use headsets and I can ask you questions and you can show me. I know it's a big thing to ask but I am absolutely terrible and I know a lot of it is simply not knowing the right commands/mechanics.

Don't let ranks fool you... I've met some people with way lower ranks than me that are basically "Chuck Norris" in disguise!

Some of those high ranking players are Metro meat grinders that just rank up and do no other purpose to increase their actual skill or provide progress/support to the overall team...

Battlefield 3 Premium will release on June 4, according to the EU PS Update. It is slated to launch the same day as the Close Quarters map and will run you £39.99/€49.99/AU$79.95. EA has yet to announce the service, and a date for the PC and Xbox 360 versions was not noted. The service has been rumored for quite some time, and is to be similar to CoD Elite.

there has been no official press release on it, and very little info


sounds like Close Quarters is June 4 for PS3 and June 11 for everyone else!

Here is what you can expect from Battlefield Premium:
20 new maps (across all 5 DLCs)
20 new weapons (across all 5 DLCs)
More than 10 new vehicles (across all 5 DLCs)
More than 4 new game modes (across all 5 DLCs)
More than 30 new Assignments (across all 5 DLCs)

I always envisioned that if they were going to do something like that, instead of being X dollars one time per-game, it should be say $50 per year, renewable,and as long as it was active, you would receive all DLC for all Battlefield games/DICE shooters(counting MoH) as they come out, and 25% off new titles. I mean, it's not like there's going to be a huge overlap between say, DLC coming out for BF3 temporally proximate to DLC coming out for MoH 2, is there? And even if there is, that should simply be the perk that gets people to renew their Premium subscription every year.

I think it's a tug of war between DICE and EA. EA wants a subscription service that keeps every one hooked, and DICE sees it as a way to try and get every one to buy all the DLC's, to avoid fracturing the community.

Referring back to this message, I see only see 4 "map packs". Maybe one of the other items on the list is being counted as DLC?

That sounds about right. They are obviously counting B2K as well. This is not that good of a deal if the rumored 60$ price tag turns out to be correct. Comes out to 15$ per Map Pack if you already have B2K. It would be nice if they offered some kind of discounts depending on your rank and/or veteran status. But I have a feeling EA will not allow that.

Oooo, if that stats reset feature is true and if I would be able to keep all my unlocks, I would love to do that for the stealth skill aspect. The annoying thing would be that there would be a higher chance of getting banned from an over zealous admin or vote kick/ban.

There are some but very rare for the PC. For the consoles, I think that feature would really shine as I think quickmatch prioritizes official servers.

I was understanding server queue priority to mean that a Premium Player gets into a server(even player funded servers) ahead of non premium players. That might be fair on DICE servers but if it applies to community funded servers, no.

That depends on if the server admins/priority list at the moment works. Do they just kick a random person off of the server when they attempt to join the full server? If not, are they then put 1st on the queue?

I would hope its just for EA partner servers.

that leak is pretty janked anyways as CQ is less than 2 weeks away so you cant get early access.

50 bucks for 4 DLC(forgot about BTK, lame to inlcude that, tho I guess NEW players wont have it).

Would be nice if there was a 'discount of 5 -10 bucks for those that have BTK. 2.50 off all DLC isnt much of a deal for the next 4

For the helicopter, the best way to practice before heading into multiplayer is the first co-op mission.

This can take forever. Many times the person in the pilot seat quits the game because they dont know how to fly. Or the other person quits right away because they are not the pilot. Horrible mission.
