Ugh, I'm trying to get better at Recon and CTF is probably the wrong mode to work on it...

But it is dang fun and the dirtbikes and pretty great. So far thumbs up from me.

Yeah another 4.2GB

Played a couple rounds of CTF on a 48 player server. Pretty fun, it was easy to get good kdr's but it was hard to cap a flag because everyone camped the bases. Nicely placed recon spawn beacons will be huge in these games.

For me air superiority gets old pretty quick but should be great for jet noobs who want to get some easy kills and unlock stuff.

If you like cluttered CQ DM with Bipods hiding in bushes or containers. Then you will like these DM maps. They are mostly nice looking maps though . CTF with bikes only would be fun.

Yes this 6GB patch addressed a lot of the map fixes ,invisible walls collision issues.

Well i finally broke down and bought this. Add me if you want play my Orgin ID is mattofwar. I must warn, I'm coming from consoles and still use a wired 360 controller on this.

By the time I downloaded this last night, it had gotten a bit late to play, but I only saw Gully, Zargon, and a few others in matches. And there were very few US servers with EG maps running that had a good number of players on them. Oh how the mighty (BF3) has fallen...

Can't wait for BF4!

There were loads of aftermath servers shortly after it's release, you just have to give it a couple days for everyone to get on the same page.

Little disappointed with the new expansion. Seems like more and more super tight COD style deathmatch maps. None of the room for maneuver and ambush like the old BF stuff. If you're someone who likes the tight infantry maps you'll probably enjoy it.

Yup , first time playing since last october! Trying out TDM, which I found to be reasonably fun and curiously I'm far better at it than the modes Bf3 shipped with.

The railroad one is quite tight and narrow. The pipeline one has quite a bit of room, especially on the hills near the US base.

Even the biggest is BF3 'large' which means bf2 'small' Depends on where you're coming from I guess. AK had some larger maps.

both sides get tanks, the new AA jeep a heli (scout) and bikes

at least on the console thats what we get, PC normally get more of the same

Played for about an hour last night. Not really liking the new maps, I´m getting sniped a lot more than usual. I play on hardcore so more often that not a sniper shot is a one shot kill.

I also got in a few rounds last night, unfortunately not with any ATOTers. The first challenge was getting used to the maps, so it was a rough night overall for my K/D ratio. My impressions - they're pretty good, if a little small, and somehow remind me more of BFBC2 than BF3 - particularly Sabalan Pipeline (the winter map). The server was running CTF, and it does make for some very linear gameplay. Everyone is either defending their flag or running suicide missions to capture the other team's flag. By the way, I got teamkilled while returning the flag - if this is going to be common in CTF, I'm definitely not going to play it.

And a humorous point - the dirt bikes are awesome, but not because they're effective transportation - shooting a rider off of one is like shooting fish in a barrel. It's just so easy!
