My bday is on the 18th and I still haven't gotten anything. I just signed up an alt acct w/ the 18th too just in case I fudged the date on my real acct. How long did it take you to get the code?

This is actually good. Now when I join 64man conquest servers they won't change to rush on me!

Wow, that is one big multiplayer map. I like the jets and the little bomb defusing robot. I wish I was picked to go to gamescom.

Could anyone tell if the jets were herped by burst fire? It LOOKED like they, and the helicopters,were not, but I thought the same of APCs when they were first shown in videos, and it turned out that they indeed were.

Hard to tell, but I don't think so it looked more to me like they just paused in firing to aim better.

How are they handling knife kills with the lengthy animations? Do you have the option of a quick knife kill? I ask because on a few instances in BC2, I was able to sneak up behind a few guys and knifed several consecutively before getting noticed and shot down. I feel like the lengthy knife kill animations is not going to allow for such epic opportunities anymore.

The knife will have two different mode types. If you just tap the knife key, there will be a long animation like you see in a lot of videos. You can also have the knife out and ready if you hold down the key or use the weapon select. That will have a faster knife animation with quick slashes.

Sounds like an awesome system. That'll address the issue I had with BC2 where I'd lose to a guy who brought a knife to a gunfight when I have my M416 aimed at him but he still kills me anyways.

Oh BTW, like I just confirmed in my first interview: There will be a commo rose on PC in #BF3 but it's not in the build shown at #GamesCom.

but yeah, so pumped. I'll have to find another reference 6950 or 6970 to put on water before then I guess to replace my 5870's, unless the 7's hit before then and are worth the price.
