Hard to tell, but I don't think so it looked more to me like they just paused in firing to aim better.

After taking a close look at the video and pausing, I can't tell for jets, but the helicopter seemed to have a 20-25 round magazine. So, either it has 20 round burst fire, or, it just happened to only have 20 rounds left out of however many hundred it carries total at the moment they showed.

I'm planning on upgrading for BF3 and I have a few questions. I know alpha isn't a great indicator of performance so I'm hoping to play the beta before I make a decision.

Should I be able to get my with just a GPU upgrade or will my RAM be holding me back? Is the 955 still good enough at this point? I'm second guessing it because right now I have to play BC2 in dx9 on med/low to maintain the FPS I want. Also, if I'm not willing to wait until 2012 for new cards how much of a price drop should I expect to see this winter? If it's only 20-30 dollars I won't feel bad about ordering at the end of the month. What is the fastest card I can buy without getting bottlenecked by the rest of my system assuming that's my only upgrade?

I'm pretty sure the Fault Line single player videos said it was 2014.

I'm going to get killed so many times ,while just looking at the sky\ clouds.
-there is no way the consoles can look that good.
-playing a lot of bf4free on old bf2 maps , not a lot time to look around games are so fast paced.
-so wow this looks good.
64 player map- not sure who will cry no fair the loudest , the console players , laptop players or dell owners.

We couldn't resist not taking some screencaps from the Caspian Border trailer that was released today. The trailer has some amazing shots of the map and of course jet gameplay we have all been waiting for. I added most of the data from the Battlefield 3 Multiplayer Fact Sheet handed out at GamesCom to the FAQ

I tried to slot all of the weapons in under the classes that use them, and I'm sure it is a mess, but all of the weapons are listed there.

I need to update the Game Features and Misc info sections with all the little details that came out today. Will get to it soon.

It's been a busy day for Battlefield 3 news and the Gamescom floor hasn't even officially opened yet. Tomorrow (Wednesday), Gamescom is open only to trade visitors and media. The floor is set to open in about 4 hours from now at 9am CEST (12am PT / 3am ET). Thursday through Sunday is open to everyone.

you wont be able to max settings out.
the engine is built for the future, so I bet the vram when cranking things up you need at least a 2gb amd card.
and then maybe it wont be enough for decent fps.

I know I am getting a upgrade when amd drop the new line up, and even if my machine runs it fine, due to I lower settings a lot, 64 players gonna be some whoop ass.
