Has the demo release date of September 11th been confirmed?
Would someone mind pointing me in the direction of someone playing the Alpha "confirming" that C2D's running at ≥3.5 Ghz won't cut it, even when combined with a suitable (think ≥GTX470 or ≥5850) GPU?
I've seen the reports of folks claiming that C2D's won't run the game adequately, but I'd like to read it from someone who's actually tried it.
To be honest, I haven't bothered with BC2 since I still play BF2 all the time. Figured I'd skip it & just go straight for BF3 when it came out.
Was hoping to read some input from someone playing Alpha who actually tried it. Not going to do any upgrades until I've had the chance to play the beta, but figured I'd ask for the hell of it.

I preordered it but i think i will hate this game.
Looks like DICE and EA are preparing for the upcoming BF3 Beta launch in September. Alpha Trial members should already know that the Subdomain battlelog.battlefield.com redirected to the official Battlelog website. The Battlelog went offline just at the end of the Alpha Trial and just today the Site popped up again, showing a Message that Battlelog will be back in "September".

I have an E8400 at 3.6.
Running 6850/6870 xfire.
Played on low settings at 1920x1200.
Was barely smooth, and struggled to stay at 30 frames.
There were only 3 options for graphics. Low, medium, and high.
Medium and high weren't playable.
Just my personal experience.
If i wasn't buying an engagement ring in the near future, I would be buying a brand new computer for this game.
