Fucking DLC, it ruins MP games. Shit like this gets me less excited about BF3.
Sorry you're not having fun playing games.
I will try to laugh twice as loud to make up for your absence.

Server Names are The Candy Van, The Candy Van2 and The Candy Van3.
1 is in Seattle and 2 and 3 are in Dallas(I believe). The Seattle server and one of the Dallas servers will stay in their current location but we may move one over on the east coast so that our European players can get a better ping.
10-4
I think if they don't have jets then the game moves closer to COD than it already has.
I really think they should slow jets down. In bf2 it was easy to get from one side of the map to another in a matter of seconds. In ' 42 those planes where slow and took forever. Also the maps seemed like they were bigger.
What the shit are you talking about?Sorry you're not having fun playing games.

Where does it show up? Under My orders? Is this in Origin itself or the webpage?
I have the confirmation e-mail from EA from Aug 13 for the pre-order. If there's an issue, it should do the clear it up.
I'm thinking things got screwy since I order from the webpage instead of the Origin application.

It's a username. No one cares.
Many people have had the same username since BF1942, stop trolling and being an idiot.
this.
I believe yes, your soldier name can be different than your Origin name. At least it better be b/c I have had the same name like you for years and people know me by it. In BC2 you have to log into EA, and then it prompts you to create a Solider Name, so hoping it's the same in BF3. Will find out soon.
Good news, everyone. Recently there was some speculation on how much soldiers you can create in Battlelog on your Battlefield 3 / EA Origin Account. In the early Alpha Trial you could only create one Soldier per Battlelog Account. We now have proof from a User who sneak peeked into Battlelog, yes it _was_ possible. He managed to create multiple Soldiers on his profile and confirmed that its possible to create more than one. Check out the Screenshots below to get a peek on Battlelog.
Most people have the same user name for awhile...
Thanks for the support... I have actually been using the same username for first person shooters since 1999 counter strike days!
The Battlefield 3 beta is less than a week away, and graphics card maker Nvidia revealed to us that they plan to release brand new, custom drivers just in time for the Battlefield 3 beta. The new, Battlefield 3-specific GeForce drivers are set to arrive on September 26, a day ahead of the beta release. The drivers will make sure the game (beta) runs smooth with no driver incompatibilities, something which happened with the Bad Company 2 beta last year.
The new drivers will also make sure the beta can take full advantage of Nvidia hardware, with the ability to max out features such as Tesselation. The drivers will also bring better performance across the board on Nvidia GeForce graphics cards.

Zh1nt0 (head community manager for Battlefield 3) sat down with the German Battlefield community to discuss questions concerning the beta. A lot of valuable information was revealed during the conversation. You can read all of it below.
Battlefield 3 Beta:
The beta will not start at midnight or 00:00 GMT
The download size will be 2 - 3gb
Those who had the alpha must download the beta client, the alpha client can not be updated.
No game rank limit during beta (go all the way to 50!)
Pre-load information coming soon
The beta was not delayed
Battlefield 3 General:
The netcode is completely new and rewritten
Players can not join a squad if their team is full (to prevent Battlelog groups from getting split)
Vehicles will begin to heal themselves after 10 - 15 seconds (this is a server setting)
Vehicles will only begin to regenerate if their health is under 75%
Unlocks are class restrictive, can't put a sniper scope on a support gun
Operation Metro has been better balanced
Two knife animations (behind and on the ground)
A knife attack on your player can not be countered
Throwing a grenade will still prompt enemy players to yell (Bad Company 2 similar)
Hand grenades can not be held to make the detonation time quicker (known as cooking)
You can join a server that a friend is on via Origin
Friendly Fire is set to "on" by default. It can be turned off in the server settings
Caspian Border is not the biggest map
Jets do not have bombs (wtf?)
If you are kicked from a server, Battlelog will prompt you with the reason (ping, server settings, or server admin reasoning)
A ranked server can be turned into an unranked server (for practice, etc.)
No weather or time change during a multiplayer game
e-sports are the focus of Battlefield 3
No word on Battlerecorder/Game recorder
Misc. Battlefield 3 Information:
You can use three screens with the game
Next 1 - 3 weeks will bring more information about maps
Battlelog application for iPhone/iOS (free). No word on Android.
Battlelog is updated separately to allow game updating to be a bit more flawless
More community events in the works (some happening here on enterbf3!)
Mod tools are still a possibility
Two nVidia GTX 580's can run the game on ultra
Battlefield 3 may be available on the Xbox marketplace
Some 300 employees at DICE

Operation Metro got changed and has a new Layout, thats why they want to test balance again.
You have more then 1 knife animation, from behind, on the ground and you can NOT counter the knife attack.
Misc. Info
You can use 3 screens if you have enough graphic power.
Next 1-3 weeks will be talking about new maps.
Caspian Border IS NOT THE BIGGEST MAP.
No Bombs on Jets.
Battlelog can be updated without patching the game so we can get new stuff faster.

The Commander role didn't make it into Battlefield 3 because DICE felt it was "a bit flawed", general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson has revealed.
It was, however, "a hot topic" at DICE HQ.
"When the dev team sat down and thought about this, the Commander role was a very important and hot topic in the studio I have to say," Troedsson said, speaking at the Eurogamer Expo 2011 today.
"Some people wanted us to implement it in the absolute same way as we had before; some of us wanted us to reinvigorate how we do it.
"I don't know how many people have tried to play as a Commander in Battlefield 2, but it's kind of a strange experience. Everyone agrees that that actual role of the Commander is very, very cool. But the problem is that only one person per team could play it, and it was always the highest ranking one.
"But even for the people that played as a Commander, the first thing they did was what? They ran off to a corner somewhere and lay down there and tried to hide so the Spec Ops guy wouldn't find them when he was going to blow up the installations.
"They basically spent the whole match lying on the ground on some obscure corner of the map, hoping not to get knifed in the back and trying to support people."
Troedsson concluded: "There was something very cool about the Commander role and there was also something a bit flawed, we have to say."
Battlefield 3 retains the essence of the Commander via squad leaders and gadgets. Squad leaders can order artillery strikes, Troedsson said, and the ability to order a mortar strike is available as a multiplayer unlock.
There's the option to set up gadgets on the ground or on rooftops to scan and target vehicles. There's a remote-control UAV drone that pin-ponts infantry and vehicles, too.
"That's why the idea that we've had, the team-play elements of the Commander mode that we really like, we have tried to push down to the squads and the squad leaders," said Troedsson.
"We've tried to push this down into the squads so they can both fill the roles that the Commander had, but then also be an active soldier on the battlefield."
I hope AMD releases new drivers as well but they probably won't knowing them.
Some news clips I found, I apologize if any of it is a repost.
Absolutely. Every time a new BF game gets released I stumble across old aquaintances, rivals, etc. I have the same username back from my 1942 days and our clan is still going and hosting servers and they always give me a shout out or vice-versa.
I think we can start a group using the battlelog right? We should game together when the beta goes live.

BF1942 was awesome since you could change your name to anything at any time. I'd almost trade stat tracking for the ability to do that again.
same here
I was Zargon back on the clan ladder on the Zone back in the R6 days.
I got onto xbox live too late to get my name though
