The spoilerized text IS what I would guess, but then again, why would they only do it for PC? Not, being a PC player, that I care if they did only do it for PC.

Is the scope glint for ALL weapons using a scope and not just for sniper rifles (Recon kit)? If scope glint is for all weapons then it is going to look like bright christmas lights during the game and a full squad moving together with scope is just asking to be lit up...D:

So who are people thinking about using for server hosts? I'm leaning toward Wolf Servers. They seem a bit too mom and pop, but when I've played on them before everything has seemed quite nice and they are the cheapest. I'm not doing Gameservers any more. They have nice management tools but it always felt like they oversold their boxes. I always liked Velocity too, but they're not offering BF3 hosting. Also, does anyone know which hosting companies accept direct payment from multiple people (clan payment)?

Deploy (either to a squad member or to a default location) then hit ESC. There the options menu comes up. You can't pull it up anywhere else, or so I haven't been able too. Really freaking stupid not even being able to pull it up anytime.

Thanks. I stumbled onto the menu when I launched the game and didn't Alt-Enter right away. Then I was able to use escape to pull up the menu. Then I lost the minimap all together. Well, I dont need to look at it but it would be nice to know the ticket counts. Imagine what the Alpha was like

And this whole "Use Origin to go to a web browser to launch the game" is retarded, on a growing list of retarded things. I just hope everything works itself out.

In the subway I think I see it for all scopes. I dont poke my head out for too long but I see it, and there is no sun in the subway!

like the 8x or more, because I read a tip that when you're playing recon in metro to swap to a lower scope when you hit the tunnels so people can't see you so easily

What resolution are you playing at? If you are at above 1920x1200 you need to go into the "Screen Adjust" menu and push the arrows in until it shows up again. The default HUD settings are incorrect for high resolutions. This has been fixed for final.

I'm at 2560x1440. I did do screen adjust and everything looked OK, except I completely lost the minimap. Its just not there anymore. Neither is the stuff on the lower right. After I eat I'll look at it someone and post a bug in the forums if I cant get it back.

5 mins of that and i'm off waiting in queue yet again for a better server as i was the only moron using a assault kit....everyone else was recon .

I think it is the map, honestly. The entire first set of MCOMs is nothing but bushes everywhere. Get some vehicles and less places to hide (Caspian Border?) and it should be much better. I think the map will be one I don't play often in the full release.

The map had an APC vehicle in the alpha, I guess they took it out because a lot of people complained that it was overpowered (I didn't think it was). But now it sounds like what you get in return is a sniper fest

I've noticed a big increase in RPG use in the subway though. It gets pretty frustrating on the attacking side.

Thew flavour build I'm seeing now is the bushmen shotgun engineers. Super annoying as as by the time you see them in the bushes they one shot you.

Have to say that for only getting one map and getting creamed more often than not due to some random team-stacking (all 1s on one side) and the sniper-a-thon... I'm still having a lot of fun playing this game.

Prone is such a welcome return. I can't tell who all is bothering to use the recon beacon, but it does wonders for me when I bother to go recon.

Have a few options already and know there is so much more. This is going to be a long month of waiting for the 'full release'.

The APC was what balanced out the MCOMs being harder to assault on phase 1 and forced more class variety, but nobody knew how to use it properly so instead they removed it and just made the MCOMs easier to assault. I think they overreacted to how bad people were in the alpha and didn't give players enough time to figure it out.

Just finished an hour on the beta. Was impressed graphically and environmentally. Sound is also very good, especially down in the subway.

My fixes:
Keybinding is messed up - after a couple binds it stops accepting new inputs, this was infuriating trying to play without my normal key loadout
Cannot edit settings without first entering server and deploying into map

Needs to get keybinding fixed so I can play normally and develop more concrete answers.

Generally:
Very annoying to have to launch origin to launch a web-browser to launch a game.
My 4890 was getting about 25-35 FPS on mostly medium settings (high textures, low shadows).

Oh yeah your so right i walked near that bridge and theres a scrub nearby.

Didn't see nothing in it but all of a sudden i heard someone playing with a knife i spray a clip blindly where i heard it in a bush and score enemy down :thumbsup:

Then there'ss this wall far end near the subway with some rocks .

Some enemy ran down near this wall and i'm firing and all of a sudden he jumps and prunes in a small scrub and i'm still firing blindly as the bush simply conceals him behind recognition and wack :\ The way he just jumped in that bush was so sneaky

Anyone know if I can download it through Origin on 2 machines like with Steam? I'm on a business trip and would play on my gaming laptop and then the gaming PC when I get home, but I don't want a download on this laptop to prevent me from being able to play on the other.
