Haha, I went 42-4 (or was it 5?) last night on metro as a sniper holding down the vents before 2nd B...it's was incredibly funny watching entire squads try to rush me...they could have just gone around and tossed a 'nade in lol.

Probably a little bit of ego involved as well. Someone gets me and I know where he is I think "I'm gonna get that mfer if its the last thing I do!" It usually is. Or maybe they think "someone must have gotten that b*tch by now" then they get here and *headshotted* hahaha Happens to me all the time, and its reflected in my KD. Yeah I know better, but that doesnt change anything.

I like how you can blow up trees to block people from running to you. lol Falling trees also hurt other players, thats pretty awesome.

I've already had some "Whoah" moments, like i killed a guy in window in last part of metro, and he fell down and killed teamate. lol

Yes, but you need to join a party with friends in battlelog. Then make sure you change the mic settings as the default is "L Shift" to talk.

If anyone is afflicted with this issue...FIX FOR BF3.exe has stopped working!

I has something to do with the é, in béta. Change your game directory patch from

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Béta Battlefield 3

to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Beta Battlefield 3

(Change the é to an e)

And then change this in your regedit (I found it here, but it can be somewhere else for you)

You can type in windows start "regedit" without the ""

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\E A Games\BF3 Beta

Right click on the GDFBinary and Install Dir, and modify.

That should do it, it fixed it for me!

I might have posted this already, but the first 2 minutes I was in CB I had to whoah moments.

me and squad running downhill by the middle CP, in the gully(near the big fenced bridge area) and were getting strafed by a jet pretty bad, we are all hurt and he comes in for another pass, and we are all going 'oh shit'(well atleast I was) and mid strafe BAM the F18 pops him with a missle and we are getting bombed with debris

the 3 of us were going after tanks coming from the rus base attacking that CP, the big gas station intersection one.

Im feeding them ammo and shooting at infantry while the other 2 shoot at 2 tanks, obviously not going well for us.

again all hurting low on health boom boom boom, all prone'd hiding from tank cannons getting closer, we get up and start to head up the hillside to and get away amd BAM there goes one of the squadmates to a main tank gun, we turn to take cover again and the other tank fires and just misses. then BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM one tank is down, BOOOOOM another tank is down and a cobra comes flying through the smoke

Works on all the Caspian servers, or at least it did earlier when I was on some EU ones.

Any ATI users tried messing around with the tesselation slider in CCC to see if it makes any difference performance wise?

I usually keep it fixed @ 8x but don´t know if ATI is integrating "optimized tesselation" into drivers/CAP´s yet...

I didn't realize that the health was now like normal health (i.e., no "healing" as in Bad Company 2), that's cool.

Had no idea that you were going to have to launch the game from a web browser.

Friendly fire is on. Sorry to the few guys on my team that I smoked accidentally. I'm used to Bad Company 2 with it off but I suppose when I played Battlefield 2 it was almost always on; I'm fine with that.

What are the goddamn key bindings for this game, since apparently you cannot change the defaults? I figured out the normal movement keys, plus 'Z' is prone, that's all. Looks like you can change Fire Mode between single shot/automatic, anyone know that? A list of all the keys would be fantastic.

Can't wait to play some more! :awe:

The reason why you've never seen map data carry over to another map is because almost no mutliplayer games have ever had deforming terrain.

It's fixed now so who cares.

As for the menu's in game. You'd have to be either stupid or crazy to think they are going to leave it like that for release. It's a beta. There will be issues.

Other than a few problems getting stuck on things in maps that you should have no trouble moving over the game is great. Menu's, server browsers, and other stuff can all be fixed easily. All that matters to me is the gameplay. Which is beyond rock solid. This game will kill cod. Cod will still sell well upon release. But in 3 months everyone will be playing this.

Respectfully, that response makes no sense. It's not as if the menu doesn't work. It was intentionally designed not to be used until a) you are in the game and only if b) you are alive. You MIGHT be able to argue that the c) dying exits the menu part is a bug but that's stretching it.

Its retarded, but you can only see this menu when you are alive. Just hit escape when you spawn and you can see all the normal options you would expect.

As Childs said above, you can only see it when you are alive. Why is it like that? Who freaking knows, but it is retarded. Oh, the best part is, if you die while messing around in that menu it kicks you out lol

Question in battlelog does hitting the "n or p" buttons cause the server menu to scroll up and down or is this just me. And if its just me, anyone have a suggestion on how the hell I fix this?

because it's a fucking half-assed console port, and consoles don't have mice.

i've been unsuccessfully trying to set up some keys for about an hour now. my next step is to create bf3 profiles for my kb and mouse to compensate for this pile of crap. at least i can work in a menu without being killed/kicked/disco'd.

how much would i pay for this? $0.
