Any other ATI owners having problems with the latest drivers? The game would not load for me. Said my drivers were out of date and to download the latest. Grabbed 11.9 from ATI and installed it. Now my main screen flickers when I type or scroll over a link in Firefox with it opened in my secondary monitor. This is pissing me off. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled 11.9 twice. I have a Radeon 5850.

I have yet to get in a game. It just stays at Joining server... I have tried several posted on AT and a several quick matches.

you need 11.10v3 preview.

ESC is supposed to unbind keys, but it didn't work the one time I tried.

You press and hold the ESC key and it clears the binding.

It doesn't seem to work for me when I tried to unbind the joystick controls for the on foot setup. I have the same issue someone else posted about my weapon was just firing, but then my left click wouldn't do anything. Ended up just unplugging my joystick as well.

I am having an issue in the campaign to though that is pretty frustrating.

I am at what I am guessing is the end on the subway. It is basically the same thing that you started the campaign on where you have to climb out the window as the cars separate. You press E to climb out, then it says press SPACE to jump. No matter what after pressing the SPACE it just keeps making me die there and starts over. I have spammed every key I have binded on that thing, tried holding keys, etc. I hope they get that fixed soon. I really wanted to finish it. There are a couple of threads on the battlelog forums with folks having the same issue. I even tried removing the update/patch files and sticking in the SP files from the DVD back too.

What an awesome game so far! Yeah, I was expecting a bit more in the graphics dept... they are only modestly better than BC2. But gunfire, sounds, lighting, shadows, blur, etc are first rate IMO. Running Ultra textures, High everything else and 2xMSAA @ 19x12. Butter smooth for me. Going to crank it up tomorrow and make my vid card sweat some.

Any tips for the jets? Air to ground.

It's rather hard to deal with the jets before the first unlock as if you can't get out of a AA lock, then you are pretty much toast. After that flares help quite a bit. I haven't been too good about hitting stuff on the ground, but I'm doing ok air to air.

Probably the first BF game to make me feel this way, but I love flying!

edit: oh and the addition of 'stalling' is interesting. I can't quite figure out if it's a bug or a game design. Basically sometimes you can get caught in a upwards flight with no ability to manipulate your jet, eventually you seem to fall out of it though and catching it during that period can be a little tricky. I'm inclined to say game design as I experienced this along side a guy I was dueling with who displayed similar characteristics.

I just did this. The key is that you must press AND HOLD the ESC key until it clears the bind.

I think I have this figured out now. It will let me unbind the joystick controls if the joystick is not plugged in. If the joystick is plugged in and I try to unbind the joystick controls for on foot, I can just keep on holding the ESC key and nothing will happen. Once I finally let go of the ESC after 10 seconds or so it just goes back with the same keys bound. So anyone wanting to unbind those joystick controls, unplug your joystick first if you are having problems.

Just tried 3 more times with no luck. I spammed it quickly, tried tapping the key, and then just pressed it a few times. Appreciate the input though man. Hopefully it gets patched.

I was on TS with some guys, and I remember telling them "I must really suck at this game" when that happened!

I have only played Engineer so far, trying to earn the better weapons, but I haven't even gone in to the Customize Weapon screen yet to see if I earned any upgrades for that default gun.

Here is a little instructional guide on how to use Party and Voice efficiently on Battlelog.
1. If you want to create a new Party click "Create party" in bottom of Com Center. If you want to join a friends' party just click the party icon next to that friend. Blue Party icon indicates that the friend is in a Party.

2. You are in the party! This will look almost as a regular chat window but with more slots for people in the top. When the Party-icon is glowing blue you're also in the Voice Channel. You can leave the voice channel by clicking "Leave voice" above the avatars.

3. Invite up to 7 more players by using the Drop Zone. Simply drag a friend from the Com Center and drop him on the party.

4. If you wanna keep the party private, for only you to invite more players, just click the pad lock in the party header (only available for the creator of the party).

5. Leave the Party by clicking the X in the Party header.

you need 11.10v3 preview.

I uninstalled 11.9 and then installed 11.10v3. It actually make the screen flickering worse. I took a video of what is happening. Here is the link. I was using 11.4 and never had this problem.

I think they toned it down in retail. I haven't noticed any sniper scope glint at all.

But then again, I haven't been sniped that much either.

It is toned down but still there. It's less obvious but now its a great beacon for a headshot

I was in a game during the beta where this asshat on our team had a hack where'd he automatically get a knife kill on the enemy team as soon as they spawned. Wouldn't be surprised if that's still floating around.

Yes, in BF2 there was. I increased my sensitivity in BF2 for tanks, because I like a fast turret. I dont understand why they would take this option out? It takes far too long to move the turret from one side to the other with the sensitivity that I use for running around. Luckily I have a G500 and can adjust on the fly. Still annoying to even have to do that though.

There are some other games out there that do the same type of thing. I bought a mouse with on the fly sensativty adjustments. I am a little out of practice at changing it though. When I hope out of the tank I look like a hyperactive drunk - whipping around in random directions all crazy like

I am using the same drivers that were released for the Beta (Can't remember which version). Those are working well for my 4890

I did have an issue where I kept getting "You have been disconnected from the log in server." Restarting the battlelog/origin/browser didn't help. Neither did changing browsers.

Anyone else experience this? I eventually restarted and the problem went away

$200 cpu and $2-300 gpu is what i always go with. i find it's a sweet spot - less gets you noticeably less computer, more gets you diminishing returns.

imo, this game seems to under-perform. i didn't see anything amazing that should cripple all but the best game machines.

yup look for a sale on the i52500k and a 6950 2gb or really good deal on a 570

I need to find a better way to record ingame footage than FRAPS.

I have maybe 12 hours of stuff and its 700 gb, and I am out of disk space

so I dont have me knifing you, or some other AT'ers last night

and I dont have my awesome Jet and Attack help kills with the littlebird on kharg last night, or my awesome eject from jet parachute stinger kill

I was kind of surprised when I booted it up the first time. I set the game to the default Ultra profile, ran at 1920 x 1200, and played the campaign for a couple of minutes and the Seine Crossing multiplayer for a few minutes. In each case, I thought it was extremely playable and I was shocked based on some of the comments here. Maybe I'm not as picky as some of you are, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it played -- almost to the point that I began to wonder if it was REALLY in Ultra mode.

What's the best way to test FPS in this game? Fraps?
