When I reported him 3 days ago he was a level 21 and his overall accuracy was around 3-4%. He must have just gotten his hacks that day. LOL

If the vehicle is disabled and taking self-damage as long as you were the last to hit it with the torch, you'll get a torch destroy. Friend of mine was going for his, we disabled a LAV, he started torching it, the driver hopped out and killed him but ran from the LAV. When the LAV finally blew, he got the torch kill.

Question in regards to the battle bus. Is it possible to SOFLAM from the chopper? So a non gunner spot with a Recon and Eng could SOFLAM and JAV?

I don't think so, but I'll do some experimenting tonight.

Is anyone else having a really hard time joining multiplayer games? I am even trying quick play and it just sits there. When I go to the server browser and sort by ascending ping, I just get a lot of empty games. What's weird is it doesn't show any ping values or the little bars at all.

I feel your pain. I think the key is to not care about winning, and just relax and have fun. That or hope Dice/EA implements VOIP so you can vent and yell at your scrubby teammates.

PS. Snipers are by far the most worthless class

snipers can be effective but when 1/2 the team is doing it you are really at a disadvantage.

Me and my buddy were 1-2 on that one, i think at one point at least 5 if not 7 people were just camped on top of something sniping. I actually got so annoyed with them i blew up the building they were on with the tank and teamkilled 2 or 3 of them when it collapsed

Hardly! I love sniping when playing TDM, its easiest way to rack up a high KDR. Recons using SOFLAM are the shizzle for a team packing javelins, and lets not forget the MAV spotting.

snipers when played correctly are great but when they dont mav or soflam and just try to shoot people from across the map not capping a single thing they are 100% usless

I can get MVP and the most team points running around with a sniper rifle. It is the weakest class by far due to the weapon selection, but not worthless. One recon with a MAV can single handedly demoralize a team with road kills. Strategically placed Soflam can suppress air and tanks. It takes a real team player to use soflam the whole game, and I will admit I am not that guy. But I will break it out when someone calls for it. IMO recon takes the most skill and patience to maximize the class, and when you cant its underutilized and then maybe useless. But when used correctly, it benefits the most people.

The problem is though, at least on the 360, 1 in 10 Recons will actually use either. The other 9, if they use anything, use Tugs because they're afraid someone is going to sneak up behind them and ruin their precious streak.

Every time I use Recon, before I even take my first shot, Soflam is up, though no one hardly uses Jav, because no one ever uses Soflam so it sucks.

A well played sniper is great. It's just that the kind of player that the sniper class typically attracts is not exactly a team player.

That, and the average player would be much more effective with an automatic rifle than a bolt action.

I think I've found a somewhat reliable strategy to winning rounds on Gulf of Oman (US forces). So long as you can steal at least one Flanker from the Russians and have a decent number of people in the server you'll usually win.
