Don't like the 3rd one at all, the C4 video or one of the others was better. Not sure why they picked 2 jet videos for the top spots either, the 2nd video should not have been top 3. It's nice team game play, but boring.

I thought #2 was the weakest of the 3, tonythetuba was my favorite overall. good gameplay, and neat editing IMO

Gotta say...some of the stuff I've seen from users on this forum are just as impressive (including when I'm playing with them). Other than the one-in-a-million shot in that first video, I didn't think these were all that extraordinary.

no doubt. his presentation was what got it for me and that it was unlikely to be scripted

I agree - i've seen stuff done by people on this forum that would've made the top 10 at least
... one time on a map - on 3 different occassions I shot stingers at panda when he was flying the battlebus and he would fly under the bridge just in time and the rocket ended up hitting the bridge... then he come out and roadkill people with the battle bus or his gunners mowed everyone down afterwards... I then got frustrated and tried to bust a kamikaze with a flanker - shooting rockets and trying ram- but I was shot out of the cockpit by one of his gunners and my flanker missed the battle bus - should've recorded them... just letting panda know that more than a few occassions I tried to ram him with jets but I was shot out of my jet - ... next time I'm going to record them so people can see what I always try to do against dangerous ATOT members when I'm on the opposing team...

Any of you guys flying jets and having problems with the ECM jammer? It doesn't always want to deploy when I hit the button. I'll be flying along and get a lock tone, mash the countermeasures button, and then nothing happens and I get hit by the damn missle.

Even though it says "ECM ready" in the cockpit the damn thing won't fire. This happens frequently. Probably 5-6 out of 10 times it won't deploy.

If you want to learn about high end audio check out http://www.head-fi.org . Wallet beware when click on that link. You may end up with an addiction to headphones that is hard to break.

I've owned a lot of different headphones for gaming purposes alone, and while I could start an advice thread a lot of audio is pure opinion. One headphone/DAC/Amp combo will sound great to one person, but another person will despise it.

Some people swear by dolby headphone and CMSS3d. I think they are both awful because they process the audio far to much. A good set of open backed headphones and a high end DAC will give you amazing positional audio. In call of duty with the AD700's and xfi prelude I used to run I could line up on corners and doorways to kill people just because I could hear their footsteps.

I don't use headphones myself, but thought that this new review at Tom's on gaming headsets might be interesting to all of you exchanging ideas on this topic:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/surround-sound-headset-benchmark,3125.html

Looks like these are budget offerings compared to what some of you were talking about, but it could be helpful to someone just trying this stuff out.

Mass Effect 3 is killing my bf3 playtime right now. Going through the first 2 games in a month is hard when working 50 hours a week with a 2 hour commute each day.

You mean ME1 and ME2 are killing you, right? How did you get so turned on to ME3 if you hadn't played the first two yet?

I played part of ME2 - great, but I'm not a huge RPG player, so I could only play it for short sessions. I might return to it eventually. What really looks interesting in ME3 is co-op. That would really work well in this game. Funny...the trailer makes the game look a lot more fast-paced than it probably is: http://www.masseffect.com/about/multiplayer/

yeah, I hate when that happens, and its not rare

The ECM Jammer must be activated BEFORE you get a locked tone or get locked... basically if you think you are flying near a hot zone with an enemy AA or bunch of solders with stingers or an Enemy got on your SIX you turn on the ECM Jammer - then high tale or afterburner yourself back into the safe zone before your ECM Jammer runs out... Once you get locked, turning on the ECM Jammer is useless in most cases... I got shot down too many times when I turned on my ECM Jammer too late... I used to think it was broken or glitched till I found out you had to turn it on before getting locked on...

Great! They came out with a review/comparizon review AFTER I got my Turtle Beach Z6A yesterday!

When plugging in my Z6A for the first time yesterday I found out my Mobo also supports True 7.1 via analog connections! The Z6A plugs in via green, black, and orange for True 5.1 and you must have those audio ports or else you can't use the Z6A at all...

initail experience after playing for an hour: I've put on and used better audio headsets before (My friends and cousin are Hollywood Club DJs and I tried their headsets)... But as a gaming headset, All I can say is my Battlefield experience is on a whole different level... directional sound is very good so far (I still can't hear food steps some time)... Hearing tanks firing their shells sound amazing... the Bass is low - but I'm not a bass type of person when it comes to audio...

There are no footsteps, it doesn't matter what audio settings or equipment you use. Using either a 5.1 surround system or good headphones I still never, ever hear people coming up behind me, except at the beginning of the round when the whole team is running in the same direction together. Often times I am camping in the stairwell at A on Metro, and I can see people running up the stairs, yet I still don't hear their footsteps. Either it is a game bug, or they intentionally left it out as a design decision for realism. It is somewhat realistic that with all the gun fire and explosions going on around you, your hearing would be degraded IRL.

True... I only hear foot steps sometimes when I see other players run next to me - no one would run and knife...

there are, but its obviously buggy. I have heard people before

Second that, however it's not as reliable as flares, but the chaff will redirect missiles most of the time, esp. in choppers. There is generally no point of carrying ECM in a jet, however, as you will outrun guided missiles and flares have a higher reliability than chaff for redirects.

For choppers though, always carry ECM, and gunner carries flares.

What, you have never come up behind someone only to have them start sprinting in a direction? I follow them running with my knife. The theme song to jaws plays in my head. :whiste:

Of course this isn't smart and someone else has picked me off plenty of times.
