hmmm...only have 2 people on my list now, when it used to be like 40. Strange thing is they still show up in the battle feed. I'll just leave it alone and hope they fix it.

But anyways, its about time they tried something like this. I dont know why one would want separate battlelog and origin friends lists. I added everyone through battlelog, so there was no way I was going to manually do it again on origin.

EDIT: hmmm..Fred is now on origin as well. It'll probably be fixed by the end of the day.

Problem is the battlelog limit was higher than Origin. It said I had to drop like 40 friends

Yay! I made the list!

Just played a round of HC TDM.

-The mini map on HC is the same, didnt see any changes there.
-The M16 seemed fine to me, I couldnt really tell any difference in it.
-The M416 still felt like it had more recoil than the M16 to me.
-The M40 sniper still kicks ass.

So far all is well, me and the new patch should get along just fine.

Ill try a large vehicle map later tonight.

Edit: Im not really liking this Origin friends thing because it keeps popping up a balloon and making a distracting noise as friends start and stop playing. Ill have to check and see if there is an option to stop that later too.

1. How do you control your descent with a parachute. I hold the arrow keys and press and release SHIFT but to be honest, I don't really know what this does. I can spin and sort of move in the right direction but the truth is, I have no idea what's going on. Is there a sure way if landing wherever you feel like when you deploy on a beacon?

2. How do I use C4? How do I deploy and trigger it? Is there a way to quickly trigger it without having to switch to the C4 trigger?

regarding parachute, i'm not sure if shift does anything but i'll try it out, lol. When using parachute, push "W" (or forward) to increase rate of descent to get down faster. This will also make you move forward a little faster. Hold "S" (or backwards) to slow descent and also to slow your forward speed. If holding S for long enough will actually cause your forward speed to stop and you will start to slowly drift backwards. Use left and right keys to simply steer left and right.
If you want to use the beacon to land on a roof when you respawn, simply place the beacon near the base of the building. You will need to quickly orient yourself in the air so you can decide which way to turn. Sometimes its hard to turn around fast enough, but with a little practice you will get better at beacon placement.
A good tip: on maps like sharki, you can use the beacon to hop from roof top to roof top until eventually you can reach high places like the hotel roof. Also, you can "climb" the antenna or at least get to the first level by placing the beacon near the antenna on the ground on Caspian.
Biggest mistake people make is they try to turn too soon to land on a roof or antenna and end up going around it in circles. Try traveling away from your target platform for a moment or two and then turn around and control your decent, otherwise you won't be able to turn sharp enough to land if you are too close to your target platform. As a sniper, the parachute is a critical tool for getting to those hard to reach camper spots. This makes pissing off the enemy easy and fun.

Moonbog covered the parachute nicely. To use C4 switch to your C4 trigger and then right click your mouse to throw down the C4. You can throw up 3 at a time and they will stick to walls, vehicles, etc.. To trigger the C4 you have to have your trigger in hand, I dont know of any other to trigger it besides tossing a nade on it. Remember to drop an ammo crate to resupply your C4 stash after detonating it. (if you survive the blast yourself)

Jeeps/helis/jets can be destroyed with one. Tanks require 2 on the rear or 3 from the front or sides for a destroy, anything less will only disable. Most light armor can be taken out with 2.

alt-tabbing has always been like this. Even when I quit to desktop from the game, my computer slows to a crawl for a good couple of minutes. I get to the desktop quick, but I just can't do anything.

I don't remember if the stuttering was there before, but it's so bad right now that it almost makes the game unplayable for me.

Alt-tab has always been pretty instant for me, and no stuttering on both 7970/680 systems with a 2600K at 4.5GHz.

Except mine is a 2500k @ 4.4Ghz and Ive used a GTX285, GTX480 and now a GTX670 and have never had any stutters.

I didn't realize and there was only about 20-30gb free on my 1tb drive. I made about 100gbs of free space and it seems to work a lot better now.

Alt tab actually works well for this game in my case. Its rare, but they got that part right. Oh, BTW, I just went Premium and i'm actually a little excited. Lots of downloads now. Gonna be a minute.

Also, I wanted to brag a little. I discovered the BF3stats.com site and was impressed with myself.

The rest of my specs are Q6600 @ 3.0, GTX460, Win7 64

I'll have to give MP a shot tomorrow to see if clearing some space solved the stuttering as well. My pc actually feels a little snappier, but that could just be in my head.

LOOOOL!!! yes that was me AHAHHA! They said they would suck my "you know what". I just got banned from a server for no appearant reason as well. It said something about permanent ban and then said BC2. I guess I pissed them off at Bad Company 2 and they recognized me and auto banned me in BF3? Pretty ridiculous. Admin abuse is rampant and they WILL ban you for playing well.

Happens to me all the time. Most times they don't even let me rack up a ridiculous score they just see my 24.2% accuracy and ban me for supposedly aimbotting.

That number is ridiculous because there are cevo P cod players in my friends list that are pulling about 21%
