i still enjoy the game but i have to agree with your feelings on Jets, which is prob why i stick to maps without Jets most of the time
This gives me fantasies about being the last man standing on my team and saving the day by finishing off the last few enemies. Everyone would be biting their nails in anticipation as they see me turn a corner and snipe the last few remaining men for the win. As they all spectate those final few moments they would all cheer, "Yeah Moonbogg YEAH!" as my character is the last one standing in victory and honor. Heh, maybe in BF4.

I feel vehicle balance in BF3 is at an all-time low. You shoot someone with the tank at their feet and unless it's "hardcore" mode they just get blurred vision. I remember watching people chain repair helicopters and never die, etc. A good person in jets is basically immune to AA. That stuff is fine in moderation but frankly it's too easy in BF3. Another thing that annoyed me was them trying to turn the game into COD. Visually its not even a half step from COD, and gameplay wise there isn't much recoil when I played heavily a year ago. The BF3 premium stuff was about the time I gave up on the franchise (I have 4 copies of 1942, 3 of vietnam, etc).
One thing they did improve on in BF3 was medics. BF2 was a joke in that the best kit was hands down the medic kit, and oh hey it also can keep your whole squad/team alive. At least now medic isn't "THE BEST EVER" class. I just wish it hadn't of gone with the COD graphics/color scheme and annoying stuff like lens flare.

What res is that 27"? I have zero problems running max @ 1080. I turn down msaa to 2X only because I personally can't tell the difference between that and 4X in multiplayer.

I dont run AF at all, maybe 4x AA(or the other way around)
I have the texture related to view distance at max and everything else at medium, and my PPI makes it look pretty sharp
I still want to do xfire again....because I run 40-80, averaging around 55 on bigger maps
Are you trolling by saying that Battlefield 3's graphics are only slightly above CoD or just blind? Also, the Medic in Battlefield 3 is widely considered the best class in the game since it has the most powerful guns in the game along with the ability to heal/revive.

Take away the guise of blue tint/super lens flare and it is COD with better models. It isn't PC centric anymore and is totally catered to the Console/Instant gratification crowd. Medic In BC2 was retarded. What Corpsman would run around with an MG when he needs to heal people? an MGer's main focus should be ammo and suppressing the enemy...nothing more.
I'm no fan of BF3, in fact I've had the game uninstalled for about a year now. I couldn't get into the "realism" of hyper bullet drop and planes/helicopters that fly better with keyboards than HOTAS joysticks. I've loved DICE since BF1942...hated BF:V, LOOOVED BF2 (1k hours, Clan leader, Admin of Full Contact War). This new DICE can suck a dick.
I need to reinstall BF2: PR and also stick with RO2...but I digress
