that being said, the person who founds the guild can grant any and all responsibilities to whomever they choose. essentially, everyone can have presidential access.

I would honestly like some of the people that will likely be joining from outside of AT to have better than "member" status, but we'll have to see how it rolls, I guess.

I used a laptop for 6 years. (Upgrading every 2 years)

Bought a new 1.4k desktop after graduating college and getting a full time position.

However, something was wrong with it and google showed me this site to help trouble shoot it on its forums. (Turned out faulty Graphcis card)

Since then I have been on pretty often.

I had known of AT for several years, but I joined after having recently purchased GW1, and it kept crashing. I discovered that I had a faulty DIMM (OCZ), which was promptly replaced through contacting the OCZ rep that hangs out in the memory sub-forum.

Wouldnt have a problem with that. Planned on it, I just know on the other thread sometime a few days ago he said he would like an AT non exclusive guild and wouldnt mind being an officer, but didnt exactly want to lead it or whatever.

And no one else was jumping the gun and I have been waiting for this game I did. lol

that's totally fine. I can co-lead or not lead. I can be the drunken lout that hangs out in an outpost and spams the guild channel with rude remarks when least expected, and least wanted.


I tend to fill all rolls (particularly the latter). Honestly, I tend to stay away from leadership rolls in these games b/c I can be flaky at times---mainly because I go afk a lot, and don't generally like to old to rigid schedules for some kind of guild function (Even though I know that such schedules help people get organized).

The one guild that I started in GW1 was extremely laid back--very little effort in recruiting or doing much together; I suppose b/c most had very little interest in such things. Of course, it died pretty quickly, and I didn't really care. Just handed the role to our then-most active member and fled the coop.

Wouldnt be a big deal. However, just because of past experiences with some ppl not getting along, any /kick or /remove functions will be limited to people like you and aig and whatever. Granted I feel it wouldnt be an issue, but some of us have PTS from such situations lol.


Also I have NEVER EVER heard of the person leading a guild called "presidential/president"

I just got a call from GameStop with a new code that I need to register for the headstart. A little scary since I had assumed everything was already set considering I've played in all the beta's!

I'm surprised how light the install client is, I had been expecting something similar to TERA which weighed in at 32GB's. Guild Wars 2 meanwhile checks in at a svelte 15GB's, amazing.

I am rather torn on what server to pick.

Would like to roll with the AT crew on Stormbluff but at the same time I have 2 friends that will be playing on Sorrow's Furnace along with their old GW1 group

Like 9PM PST / 12AM EST.

So countdown is like 5 hours... oh man...

Yeah I've read numerous reports that they'll quietly launch the server 3 hours early to avoid gigantic server log-in load at once. Guess they learned at least from D3's launch (along with a few other MMORPGs) that even if you have the servers necessary for sustained daily playing, you should definitely rent/buy extra power for the launch as it will have a massive initial spike of players.

Guild Wars 2 is designed so pretty much every class can fill any role. Your mileage may vary but it pretty much depends on player skill I would say.
