oh wow, that is bizarre. still sorry to hear that. Kind of surprised, and a bit saddened, to see that people would actually respond to those. I would just let it fo for a few days and see if the attention/animosity dies down regarding your Guardian.

In addition, I wouldn't worry too much about leveling. After having gotten used to the game with one character, it took me about 3 hours to gain those first 9 or 10 levels with a second character. A lot of that time on the first toon is spent wandering around aimlessly for so long

A lot of the time still on my first character I end of saying "Where am I now...?" /open map

Finally lv 55 thanks to WvWvW xp and crafting. Going to hopefully do a few dungeon story modes tonight (CM and the lv 50 one).

Also tonight, I will be popping another 10% 3 day Magic find buff, and then either late friday night or early saturday morning I will pop the 24hr XP buff.

Also if we want to pop a banner or 2, I will do so also. May this weekend be full of awesomeness, and amazingness.

I had my account banned for almost a week and this is the end result email I received yesterday.

Hello,

After reviewing the issue, it appears that your account was blocked in error. Your account is now released and you should be able to log in to Aion. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Please let us know if we can help you with anything else.

I'm hoping I can hit level 30 tonight.. and maybe do my first WvW thing.

My monthly achievement seems to frozen.. atleast the EXP part without dying. Or I just don't understand it?

SON OF A MOTHERF*CKING BITCH!!!!

Tried to log in just now and I message that says something along the lines of "It appears your account has been accessed by an unauthorized individual. For security we have blocked access to the account, please contact support."

ARGH!!!! So did it get accessed again or is this just a late notification, or did the person who "hacked" it complain to the support that "their" account was "hacked"?

Well, I managed to hit lvl 43 last night. I may have made a mistake in selling a bunch of copper ore (400+) as I have not yet started any weapon/armor smithing (as I am saving them for lvl 60). But I still have a full stack of 250, as well as about 30-40 ingots from my elemental (who is an artifactor), so I think I have enough to get past the needs. I could not help selling them when I saw the prices were 18-19c each.

I just hope I will have enough cash saved up for the materials I will need. I have seen that a lot of the mid level materials do not go for much right now. But not knowing what I need, I don't know what to stock up on now while they are at low prices. Anyone have a guide that shows what and how many materials are needed to level up weapon/armor smithing?

If you die, at X / Y xp.

It will show X even though you started back at 0, until you surpass X again.

So odds are you died, and your xp is lower than the current X, and until you pass it again w/o dying it will look frozen.

Either you got hacked again, or they may have contested for the account back saying they were hacked.

If you have the game key I would recommend an email or phone call, show them you have the key and you are the owner. Then request them to change your password to their choosing, clean up your PC best you can. Then they will give you the password.

Not really, best way to level it is through discovery. So all blue rare items will be needed/useful for discoveries. Then it is enough Copper to get to iron to get to silver to get to gold. etc. With enough blue rare items. Which are rare and can cost alot higher up.

My artifacing is 190ish
My jeweling is 160ish
My tailoring is 66
My cooking is 54

I had to give the support people the key the 1st time, so they should know it's my account. They did give me a random new password and I changed it to something different afterward.

Then it sounds like a keylogger picked up the password right away again.

Or they are extremely slow at repairing this situation.

Fwiw, levelling to 80 'normally' is really quite easy, crafting your way through the final levels is entirely unnecessary if you're not interested in doing so. Just hit 80 on my Guardian last night and I haven't done any crafting since, like, 18.

Right, the ores aren't a big deal. You could go out and mine them in a session or two. The blue mob drops (blood, claws, scales, goo, bones, totems, etc.), you will probably have to buy a lot of those from the TP. You don't end up with nearly enough through normal drops while leveling, and those will cost you.

I've maxed armorsmith, jeweler and cook (before the nerf) and I'm making progress on artificer and weaponsmith. I'll eventually try to level up all the professions.

I'm seeing an awful lot of (high level) Guild Wars 2 accounts popping up for sale over on HardForums. Is the game really that bad/boring/easy?

Ironically, one would tend to assume that selling accounts is against the EULA. Not owning Guild Wars 2, I wouldn't know.

I just thought it amusing though, as every day I seem to see a couple new accounts listed for sale. And yes, I'm talking accounts, not copies of the game.

It's not the revolutionary game many were hoping it would be I think, there are also still many issues in terms of balancing and the trading system. There are a lot of faults with the game and many people just don't seem to want to tolerate it.

But that's just from the default MMO point of view, I personally love how the game looks when you turn up the settings. The stories are all nice and interconnected (though there are some very large gaps with certain stories that they didn't fill in, the continuity falls flat on its face) and the NPC dialogue makes the game feel a little more alive.

Now I've personally found quite a few errors in terms of narrated lines that don't match what the VA was given, unlocking certain areas/POIs while on the other side of the intended wall, etc. But the game has a solid feel to it, seemingly large team of devs that are going to continue tweaking it hopefully and the PvP is quite fun.

Only a keylogger would have gotten a password again that was changed so quickly.

i don't know what the error means yet. it could just be from the original account issue.

malwarebytes and MS Security essentials didn't find anything.

if i had a keylogger i would assume my other stuff would have been messed with.

File a ticket to have the e-mail address changed as well to something new along with the password.

this waiting to craft until you are 60 is utter horseshit, imo. it mostly defeats the purpose of crafting as you level--particularly on your main character. Why avoid a rather large aspect of the game (which if done right, can provide you with some seriously nice gear for very cheap) until the very end.

especially if you are doing armor or weaponsmithing--something that can be gathered--because you get exceptional xp every time you gather a piece of anything, that remains flat in each zone, despite your level, throughout the game.

again, I don't begrudge anyone that wants to rush their way through anything--not at all--I just find that completely un-fun.

With my alts? sure. Hell yeah, in fact. (well, depending on how things work out with a different race, class, story). Actually, I will likely be leveling crafting in the early levels--just so I can easily run through those zones to get to more challenging, farm-happy areas quicker.

So ArenaNet decided to do something about iron ore being completely worthless (along with some other mats) and introduced a new temporary recipe to the Mystic Forge.

250 + 250 of specific mats (butter, iron ore, soft wood, green wood are ones I remember) + 1 mystic coin + 1 glob of ectoplasm = 1 mystic chest

This has caused the "worthless" mats to skyrocket relative to their price, now they all sell for like 15c a piece instead of as low as 1c (butter) so some people who stocked up on them made an absolute killing.

What does the Mystic Chest give? It gives without fail 1 gem worth between 10s and 2g, as well as a chance of getting 1 mystic component and/or transformation potions.

As far as the transformation potions are concerned, they only provide potions that transform you into elementals. However there are 2 types, 1 permanent and 1 consumable (I've spent a LOT of gold trying to get a permanent ember potion ).

The mystic components allow one to create a mystic forge node (mystic essence + casing + tube + core) which is a consumable item that allows one to remotely access the mystic forge. This node + mystic nexus + mystic frame + 50 mystic coins= mystic forge conduit, a permanent item that grants one remote access to the mystic forge.

ArenaNet has stated that this is a temporary thing, basically they're fixing the market so that these materials hopefully settle at a certain price and maintain that by destroying the massive surplus that exists on the TP.

I burned a huge amount trying for the potion and conduit, but alas I ended up just buying the components to build the conduit (and no luck on the permanent potion ). I know full well that the prices for the mats will likely fall far below what I paid for them, but I am somewhat hoping that these formulas disappear soon so that I have a very limited item and hopefully make some money off it

Yeah, I wasted some gold on this last night too. I think that was their plan. I just bought the components for the conduit for a reasonable price before they skyrocketed. It's nice because I stay out of LA to craft and the other cities don't have a forge, but now I can use it anywhere. Of course, I haven't had much luck with the forge yet anyway.

After that, I decided I wanted a permanent potion, so I wasted a lot on materials and used the portable forge to make mystic chests while standing at the TP. I finally got a permanent spark potion just as I was running out of gold. The vendor gems I got ranged between 10s-40s, so it wasn't as costly as it could've been. I immediately auctioned all my spare components, but I should've held on to them since the prices are higher now.
