WvWvW guardian can do wonders rolling heal/support spec =)

Guardian really is support more than anything. perhaps frustration is trying to put out damage with a class that just doesn't do it as well as other classes?

For the same reason--don't roll a Mes if you don't want to be running uber support most of the time. (I happen to like it; despite the occasional frustration with lack-of-DPS ) :\

and PVP screws a game again, lol.
people not wanting to play a certain class because it's not good at PVP.

I guess its not as bad in this game since everyone seems to just zerg everything.

well, I can't say much about Guardian, but Mes is certainly great in PvP--especially 1v1. sure, it's not a lot of damage, but is quite effective if played well.

they restored my account yet again. they said my account was compromised several times but i call BS on that because I was fucking playing it the last time my account was locked.

Question about the game that no reviews I've read really mentioned. But is the world divided into zones that you have to wait through a loading screen for?

One thing that I love about WOW is that the world(continents) were all giant zones. It's such a turn off for me with games like The Old Republic where you have to go through so many loading screens.

yeah. each zone is good for ~15 levels, though, and each is larger than a ToR "planet"

also, my loading time is roughly 5-8 seconds per zone. There are also waypoints within each zone for fast traveling once you discover them.

Also for all those curious, that don't look up this info already, and curious just what comes into creating the top end game items...

Legendary Weapons are obtained through a lot of hardword, determination, time and money. (Helps if you team up too!)

An Example would be the Legendary staff (Bifrost)

To craft this you need to put these into the Mystic Forge :
(Exotic Staff) The Legend of Rage
The Base Gift
Gift of Mastery
Gift of Fortune

How to obtain these you ask?

The Legend of Rage
Loot one luckily in the world
Throw 4 rare (lv76+) staffs into the Mystic Forge and get lucky

The Base Gift
Mystic Forge [Gift of Color + Gift of Energy + 100x Icy Runestones + Superior Sigil of Nullification]
- Icy Runestones can be purchased for 1 gold a piece at the Frostgorge Sound after Claw of Jormag is defeated
- Gift of Color : Mystic Forge [250x Piles of Crystalline Dust + 250x Unidentified Dyes + 100x Opal Orbs + 1 Gift of Zhaitan]
--- Gift of Zhaitan is a legendary Trophy obtained from an NPC
- Gift of Energy : Mystic Forge [250x Piles of Radiant Dust + 250x Piles of Luminous Dust + 250x Piles of Incandescent Dust + 250x Piles of Crystalline Dust]
- Sigil of Nullification : Make one on Mystic forge (???) or Salvage one from an item

Gift of Mastery
Mystic Forge [Bloodstone Shard + 250x Obsidian Shard + Gift of Exploration + Gift of Battle]
- Obsidian Shard can be obtaiend for 2100 karma a piece from the Tactician Deathstrider at Temple Balthazar in Stratis of Devestations
- Gift of Explorations is obtained when a character gets 100% on the map (2 per map completion, per character)
- Gift of Battle is purchased in WvWvW with 500 Badges of Honor
- Bloodstone is a rare item from an NPC

Gift of Fortune
Mystic Forge [77x Mystic Clover + 250x Glob of Ectoplasm + Gift of Magic + Glyph of Might]
- Mystic clover is obtained (10% chance) when mystic forging the items [10x Obsidian Shards + 10x Mystic coins + 10x Glob of Ectoplasms + 10x Crystals]
--- Crystal is obtained from Miyani for 3 skill points per 5 crystals
--- Mystic coins are obtained for completeing daily and monthly achievement chests. Or buying / obtaining from other players.
- Glob of Ectoplasm is found when salvaging 70+ rare/exotic items with a master's salvage kit
- Gift of Magic : Mystic Forge [250x Vicious Fangs + 250x Armored Scale + 250x VIcious Claw + 250 Ancient Bonw]
- Gift of Might : Mystic Forge [250x Vial of Powerful Blood + 250x Powerful Venom Sac + 250x Elaborate Totem + 250 Pile of Crystalline Dust]

finially broke through the cooking wall and gained 2 last night in about 45 seconds
i think i need to go and farm a lower lvl zone to push wep smithing further as ive outpaced all my mats
finially hooked up with the AT guild
did some massive dragon event last night, was fun, and my comp didnt die which is good

also TWC still sucks and the game works amazingly well when tethered to my phone over 4G

I think the maps actually look much bigger than they are, it honestly doesn't take all that long (relatively) to run between any two places.

Finished the 'story quest' by running the last dungeon. It was ok, the environment and scenarios were pretty cool at least. The bosses again sucked, I have a feeling that's going to be a running theme. The final battle with Zhaitan was especially bad, either it was bugged or it's completely unfinished. I am curious to see how the dungeon might be different in explorer mode though too.

I think I'll try for 100% exploration on the 'end game' maps but after that I think I might find myself without anything to do after trying out a few more instances.

I agree that guardian is far more support oriented innately. I just don't think it has the abilities to put out the DPS that other classes do. Also guardians really get the shaft when it comes to HP. I think they've got some really useful PVP abilities, but a lot of them are the kind of thing that are very lackluster/ineffective in PVE at the same time.

I am enjoying my guadian. But she is mostly 2H sword burning cool downs. And I am using her traits to build up crit chance, damage, and a nice large pool of HP. Think I will probably roll of an elementalist as my second class.

Reported it last weekend and still bugged...nothing happens, no answer, feedback...

I'm starting to craft some serious weapons, and i'm only at 280 Weaponsmith. I sometimes buy the best rare inscriptions for my class (Warrior) like the Berserker one (+Power, +Precision, +Crit dmg) and with that yesterday I crafted some uber nice yellow GS with that, getting a weapon that do 650-750dmg...replacing my 540-620 GS of the same level lol.

yeah, I always grab the one rare inscription that matches my stats for each tier and made a set of armor. The Karma cost if you are just getting one is negligable and the item itself is usually pretty damn good.

Seems like the server all of you guys are on is full, and it wouldn't let me create a new character on it. Anyone know of a way to somehow get this to work? I'd rather play in the ATOT guild than with randoms

Anyone else unable to play WvWvW due to massive slowdown in larger fights?? My machine isn't too bad and auto detect sets me at low/medium which is fine, but it's unplayable - like 8fps in a keep attack.

Core2Duo 3.16ghz
4gb RAM
Win 7 64bit
Regular 7200rpm SATA HDD

Over night they fixed some of the skill points in Malchor's Leap and Cursed Shore on my server, so I was finally able to finish Shore at least. One of the Leap skill points re-broke already; but essentially get used to it lol, busted events/skill points are pretty common place in the mid-high level zones so far.

There is a patch today fixing a lot of the SP bugs.

yea i was in Fen last night and every 10 min someone would ask if it was still bugged

someone responded in chat that they changed to an EU server and got it done and then came back
- i have no idea if that works
